"(Awesome again) This is my 2nd time having David and his helper Chris  come in and do some work for me. Again I can't say enough good things about Dna electrical. I will be using them again for anything electrical that comes up. David got here on time and started with the project and that  is where the extras came in. David changed out the fan in the living room and in the process before he got to the master bedroom he moved and rewired the dining room light, repaired the switch for the living room ceiling fan. I asked David while he was in the attic if he could look at the brace for the ceiling fan in the bedroom next to the master bedroom and he found out it was the wrong electrical box and it broke while he was in the attic and the fan fell thru the ceiling. David installed a new box and brace then reinstalled the fan  and then moved on to the master bedroom fan. When David came in with bill I was shocked it was for the original estimate. I tried to pay him more and he would not take it. Now folks this is a man with integrity. I again would highly recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work done. One note to end on is, in today's market to have a contractor come in and do a excellent job and do it for a fair price is unbelievable. Thanks David

"He did a pretty good job overall. He made a terrible mess and at the end he could not find the can for the color of the paint he used on the walls. He did not find the receipt to find the color out so I could do touch ups and he never could find it. That was the only the bad part of what he did. His texture guy was great. That was probably the best thing about the whole deal. He had a really good texture guy who did the ceiling and did a great job. I would probably not use him again because of the paint thing that did not kind of feel professional. So now if I had to touch up my wall I have to take a hunk out of the wall and have it the color made from there and that’s going to be really irritating to me."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.

Though possible, installing a ceiling fan yourself requires electrical knowledge and confidence working with home wiring. Following the manufacturer's instructions carefully and observing safety precautions are crucial components of a DIY installation.
