I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel and was willing to do all the painting myself except for the ceilings, which are tall, needed some repairs, and would have taken me forever to do and would have been impossible for me to do well. The roller needs to be able to hold enough medium to create some relief on the ceiling but not so much that gravity will pull it off before it dries.
