"Work was done in a professional manner; covered lawns with plywood, care given in removing and replacing shrubs; excavation was done with do issues, prep work to the service areas was exceptional; the two applications of waterproof cement applied in a through fashion followed be final coat of foundation tar. I was impressed Chubb's cleaned, flushed, and tested remainder of drain system before back filling with clean gravel and topping with soil and seeding. The grass is germinating as I type this review. No issues with management or the crew. Chubbs did work in my first home (per the previous owner) and I had no issues there and that is why I gave the nod to hire Chubb Construction for this job."

"Our sprinkler system pipe froze and burst in the back room of our retail store on a Sunday afternoon. They arrived an hour after I called and went right to work. They arrived exactly when they said they would every day. It took a week to dry out the area. They dealt with the insurance company directly about their invoice. They accepted the insurance payment as payment in full. Great company with superb customer service during a very stressful time. The owner Sarah was hands on and explained everything that had to be done thoroughly. All the employees were wonderful.

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.

Costs depend on surface material, labor, debris disposal, and the type of blasting media used.

You can concrete can be done when it’s wet or dry. However, it’s safer when wet, as harmful dust and chemicals are present. Sanding it when dry is faster, but you’ll agitate more dust and chemicals, meaning you’ll need to be more careful.
