Shaker style has been trending for a decade or more and it's what I do the most of when I reface. Refacing takes a little longer than refinishing and I do more refinishing than refacing. You can use any colors you choose. Most refinishing takes me a couple of days in the kitchen and I recommend Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane. Kitchen cabinets are always satin sheen. I don't do anything like countertops or backsplash. I specialize in kitchen cabinets. I often have to make minor changes and repairs to the kitchen cabinets when I refinish or reface them. "This was a project I was dreading. They came in and completed the project in a total of 5 days. They were very conscientious and made removing wallpaper look easy. They were great and addressed any areas I was not happy with. I thought light shadows were painting imperfections and they were willing to repaint the area even after I realized it was a weird shadow. I do plan on having them back, but want to get some carpet work done first."

"The paint colors that existed were matched very close, a surprise since the shutters were very faded. They had three painters, each doing a different task to get the job done in a reasonable time. A lot of the old chalk was removed and new installed. Where the existing chalk looked good, a touch up coated was applied to insure a good seal. The shutters were painted in place on this two story house. The painters regularly asked for our comments, which were all favorable. The job took one day. At the completion of the job, we were asked to walked around the job to make sure all was completed to our satisfaction, and all was. There was complete coverage on all painted surfaces. There were no splatters or drips on brick or surrounding surfaces.
