Todd arrived within a few hours of contact on Angies List to look at house while we were still in negotiations to buy. We gave me a very fair price, was able to meet my timeline once we closed and finished on time, just as he said he would. he told me it would take a week and it took 6 1/2 days. He is very friendly , great communication the whole time. His son worked with him too and he was just as friendly and did a great job also. I highly recommend Todd to do your next painting job.

It was great and he was very good. He is a fine outstanding person and I have known him now for about 10 years now and his price was reasonable.

Initially, I was very happy. Todd seemed very nice and responsible. But as the paint started peeling around 10 months after painting, that excitement faded. There are many chips coming off and several places where water is trapped between paint and shingle. I contacted Todd to have him come have a look at it and us to discuss, since it seems to me unreasonable that a 3,000+ dollar (minus paint) job won't even last a year. He rarely responds to texts, and he never came out. It's been a month and a half I've been trying to reach him. If you are happy to pay that kind of money for less than a year's worth of painting quality, then Todd's the man for you. If you actually want your paint to last, I would recommend going elsewhere.

I paid for service including estimated amount of paint needed in advance to take advantage of a zero interest offer on my credit card. I was told at the time he had 2 houses in front of mine and would be working on mine within a few weeks. A few weeks go by and i hear nothing so i reach out to him asking for a schedule for the painting. No answers and after several attempts no response. I was ready to cancel the work but had already paid. I called my credit card agency and they suggested a send my request in writing. I then wrote angies list identifying my issue. That was helpful in that they were able to contact the painter and then he would promply call me. He finally finished the painting yesterday afternoon and was preparing to leave as i pulled in from work. I quickly surveyed the job and found two areas i was not satisfied with. He made excuses that it was due to my house something or other...bush in the way...weak wood and brushed it off. Had he offered to work on the spots to my satisfaction i would likely rate him higher but he was in a big hurry to leave. Not at all what i expected.

Todd's crew did an excellent job of finishing the project and keeping us up to date on delays due to weather. We are very happy with the result and professionalism, would recommend in a heartbeat!

A lot of additional costs. I had to pay for another coat of paint and all the paint. Not responsive, waited months for him to get out. Work they did was fine but difficult to get them out here and the cost was high.

It went great!, and I couldn't be more pleased! Todd Kimmel and his crew just finished painting the Cedar siding exterior of my home and, it was the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. Here's why: first and foremost, they did a great job! They also were respectful of my wife and I, and our home. They were punctual every morning, and remained on site until the end of each work day. I should mention that I spoke with, and received bids from several other contractors, before deciding to hire Todd. It was a decision that I struggled making because, so many times in the past I have been disappointed by the lack of professionalism and quality of work of other contractors. We will soon have the interior of our home painted, and you may rest assured that the work will be performed by Todd and his crew. So, if you're looking for a painter who is very competitively priced, will respect you and your property, and will do a great job, be sure to give Kimmel's Colors a call....you'll be glad you did!

Kimmels got us on their schedule very quickly and finished the job on time, which was essential since we had put the house on the market. Their pricing was very competitive. They provided excellent help selecting vibrant colors. They only did a so-so clean-up job, and some of the things they verbally agreed to do, they did not (specifically, painting the back sides of storm windows). But they did leave us the extra paint, so I was able to take care of that myself. The end results look great, giving the house a much-needed new look.

Exceptional communication! the house is tall, rough cedar siding, and it really hadn't ever been painted. We stained it 25 years ago, and exposure had it looking really shabby. Todd and his crew arrived on time, never stopped working until quitting time, and the house looks fantastic. thanks Todd, I would recommend you without reservation to anyone looking for a great painting experience.

I am restoring a very old (and odd) house.  I have been focused on the structural integrity and interior function for awhile.  It was finally time to get the exterior started.  I have had estimates that ranged from 2-3 thousand.  Worse yet, the schedules were not reasonable for me (next spring for example).  Todd Kimmel was quite different.  I contacted him after seeing his "too-good-to-be-true" deal and he immediately made an appointment to come out and look at the house before I purchased it.  He came and looked it over, and I bought the deal.  Within the week,  he sent one of his workers to power wash and the house got painted. Large spaces were sprayed and the trim was done by hand. It looks great!  I have a few minor touch ups to do, but only because the house exterior is very uneven and includes mixed materials (wood/concrete/asphalt siding).  I was very pleased and will certainly use Kimmel painting again.

They did a fine job. What they did really well was listen to my feedback and do the best they could do to do it the way I wanted it. They did a good job. They came on time as we agreed. They responded to things I brought to their attention and made it right.
