"We purchased an insulated patio cover and are very pleased with the finished product. It is much sturdier than the cover it replaced and makes an attractive addition to our home. All work was completed in a day, the installers did a great job, and pricing was reasonable. We would not hesitate to hire Giant Factory Direct for a future project!"

"We recently had a sunroom put on our home by Buschurs. We had the pleasure of working with David Spence, the sales rep, throughout the project. He answered all our questions and kept us apprised of the progress of the project. The concrete contractor, Greg, did a great job laying the foundation for the sunroom, and his crew did a great job and cleaned up well after the job. They were a great team. Jake and Justin put the sunroom up for us, and were always busy and professional. They were very polite, hard workers with a great work ethic and also did a great job cleaning up after the job. I would (and in fact, already have, recommend Buschurs to friends and family. They make a quality product lead by a great sales team and created by an outstanding group of installers."

Small jobs welcome

"Robert is a firendly, very professional all around fix-it-guy! He saved my bathroom renovation project! I originally hired Robert to install drywall in my master bathroom. Just prior to the install I broke a plubming fixture in the master bathroom. Without missing a beat Robert gave me an estimate for the plumbing repair as well as a slight enhancement (raising the shower head 4 inches, I'm tall). He completed the plumbing repair, testing the water seal then launched right into the dry wall project.. I'm a pretty finnicky guy when it comes to blemishes on the wall or visible seams yet cannot find a single fault in his work."

Patio Covers questions, answered by experts

Awnings offer a variety of materials to choose from, each of which has its own benefits. Cotton is a lower-cost option that’s also more eco-friendly because it’s made from natural materials, while acrylic-coated polyester and vinyl offer better durability against harsh weather. Fiberglass and metal are also resilient to weather, although metal can be vulnerable to corrosion without protective sealant. Ultimately, you’ll need to consider your climate and your budget in deciding the best material for your awning.

Awnings can be a serious investment for homeowners, particularly if it features a motorized and retractable design. Protect the exterior of your home by choosing a reliable and reputable contractor. Do some research ahead of time to get an idea of the potential contractor’s strengths and weaknesses. Don’t hesitate to give them a call to discuss specifics.

It’s best to keep your awning retracted if winds are 25 miles per hour or more to make sure your awning doesn’t sustain irreparable damage due to wind. Some awnings can take winds up to 30 miles per hour without any damage, but it’s best to consult the manufacturer’s guidance. A good rule of thumb is if it’s too windy for you to comfortably stand outside, it’s time to bring the awning in.

A retractable awning won’t necessarily increase your home’s value very much, but it can offer a boost of aesthetic appeal to potential buyers. In the long-term, however, a well-placed awning will save you money on cooling and protect your deck and outdoor furniture from sun exposure during the hot summer season.

The cheapest material for covering a tennis court is rubber or clay. Rubber needs to be installed over a concrete or asphalt base, however, which can make the project more expensive up-front (but cheaper to resurface over time). Clay courts are among the most affordable, but they aren’t the best to play on and require a lot of maintenance.
