"It went well. Jonathan was well informed, did not try to oversell me for more than I needed. He arrived and completed the work as he had planned. I am very pleased with all aspects of the job, customer service, and price for the completed job. I have already recommended this company to a friend. I am confident they will provide my friend with the same level of services."

"Seth and his team were a pleasure to work with. I called him in the morning to get a quote and he was able to come check out the project area and had his team out there within 45 minutes to start and finish the project. The pricing was definitely fair and I'm super happy with the quality of work they did and how quickly they got it done. I would definitely recommend going with this company and I wish I would have hired them sooner!"

"I'm in the construction business, I know my way around, Willie and his crew are the real deal. They removed the 15 year old top layer of mossy / weeded gravel then spread fresh gravel, leveled it out and compacted it flat. The asphalt work they did on top gave me a gorgeous driveway. They know what they are doing. My driveway is very large and I feel I got great value for my money. You can't go wrong with County Wide Paving."

"I called the company for concrete work but they do restoration only. They were very polite and professional on the phone and took the time to hear my project needs. Too bad they don't do the work I needed, would have been a pleasure to work with them. Since they were so quick to respond I will keep their info in my business folder.

"Jason was very professional, extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what he was doing.  He offered sugestions to make the work go smoothly as well as cut the overall cost.  He deducted a portion of the bill due to lateness.  Would defilnately use again!

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.

The average cost to repair an asphalt driveway is around $2,459 to $2,500. However, prices can range from $100 for minor DIY crack filling to over $4,000 for more extensive professional work. Costs are often calculated per foot, with minor repairs costing $1 to $3 per linear foot and heavier damage like potholes, sinking, or crumbling costing $2 to $5 per linear foot. Patching smaller potholes can cost around $2 to $3 per square foot. The final price depends on the severity and extent of the damage, driveway design, local contractor rates, and whether sealing is included. For major repairs, it is recommended to hire a professional, and you may get a better deal by bundling repair and sealing services together.

With proper maintenance, asphalt milling driveways can last 30 years or more. Over time, you’ll need to regularly sealcoat your driveway. You should also have your driveway inspected every few years and make any repairs as soon as they are necessary; this will prolong the lifespan of your driveway.

Yes, recycled asphalt driveway costs can be substantially lower than new asphalt. With new asphalt costing between $90 and $190 per ton, this option can cost as much as 10 times more than laying down asphalt millings.

Regular sealing, crack filling, and professional inspections help extend pavement lifespan and prevent costly repairs.
