"We found Downey Clean on Angie's List a few years ago and have now used them multiple times. They do 3 rooms and a hall for $99 and only charge $25 for each additional room or set of stairs. Their cleaning is superior over other companies and their customer service is wonderful. When you call, the staff is very friendly and helpful and you can tell they always answer with a smile. They can usually get you in fairly quick, within a few days, if you are in a crunch too. The guy we have come out was very efficient with his cleaning, personable and friendly with our German Shepherd and cats. We have had pet stains and odors and when he leaves, it's like our carpet has been renewed! Our living room has long shaggy carpet and is very difficult to clean, but he gets it done and it looks beautiful. At one time, he even helped us rescue a large dog! He saw the dog outside and thought our dog had gotten out and made sure to tell me. Long story short, I was able to find the owner from a mile away and get the dog back home. We request the same tech each time, great guy and he does a wonderful job. We HIGHLY recommend Downey Clean!"

"National was great. They were able to start earlier than expected and the vinyl plank floors are beautiful. They even replaced the sub-floor in one of the rooms and removed some unlevel tile at no additional cost."

"The installation of the carpet was timely and professional.  The carpet looks fantastic.   Kevin also installed linoleum in the doorway entrance.  It too looks fantastic.  I saved myself a significant amount of money, enjoyed my time with Kevin, and am terribly happy with the finished result.  I recommend Kevin and Teppo's Georgia Floor Distributor enthusiastically."

"When we contacted him initially, he was responsive and came out to look at the work we wanted done.  He said he would get back to us in a few days with estimates but he never did.  We followed up with a phone call and he returned our call several days later.  He ended up doing the upstairs vanity apologizing for not getting back to us sooner.  When we asked him about the estimate for the basement floor, he said he could give an estimate on putting down the tile but he couldn't estimate how much it would cost to do the prep work until he got into it.  The prep work consists of etching the cement floor.  Without having at least a ballpark figure, we decided not to proceed.

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

You can clean your bathroom like a professional by keeping your cleaning tools and products organized and having a cleaning plan or routine. Most cleaning pros start by dusting and sweeping first and applying cleaning solutions. You should let the solutions sit in your bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet, and wipe everything down with fresh cleaning cloths. A final mop gives the finishing touch.

You can definitely regrout your backsplash without removing the tile. Much like regrouting a tile floor, you’ll have to remove the original grout carefully with a grout removal blade on a multi-tool or a dremel tool, being careful not to damage the surrounding tile. To get all of the grout, you’ll probably have to use a utility knife to get any stubborn pieces. Once the grout is removed, you can clean the area thoroughly and then add your new grout.

In almost all cases, yes. Most grout is cement-based, meaning it’s highly porous and susceptible to mold, mildew, and grimy deposits. Grout sealer is a crucial step if you’re looking to preserve the look and structural integrity of these types of grout. However, some types of grout—such as epoxy-based grouts—are not porous and do not need to be sealed.

Yes, grout haze should be removed prior to sealing and the grout should be allowed to dry thoroughly. All grout, except epoxy, should be sealed to protect it from erosion, dirt, and spills. Sealing grout also prevents it from absorbing moisture which can lead to mold and mildew growth.

Most grout sealers last one to two years before they need reapplication. For wet areas such as a bathroom or shower, you should reapply grout sealer at least once a year. In areas of your home that don't see as much moisture or traffic, the grout can go up to two years before it needs resealing.
