The painter George sent did an extremely meticulous job and exceeded our expectations. We were very please with how the job was done - it is the best looking exterior paint job we've ever had and power-washing the walkways around the house made everything look perfect. We suppliedour own top-of-the-line paint from Sherwin-Williams.

George Beyer when it was in the demolition phase and informed him I had a move in date of December 2. He quoted me $2,700 (plus paint) to do the work on the interior of the house. He came out a few weeks later and increased his quote to include $500 for resurfacing two ceiling areas and and $300 for patching holes/caulking. I agreed to pay the increased rate. $3,500 plus supplies. I gave him a deposit of $1,750 and he said he would start on November 15 and the job would take 2-3 days. So the contracting crew cleared out of the house and did not work on it for three days, thinking George was in there. I went everyday and could see that no painting had began. Instead his crew started on Saturday, November 18 mid morning and he wasn’t there when I went to ask him how he was going to make up for the lost time. Via text he said he and his crew would be working all weekend. They did not work all weekend. The crew worked a good portion of the day Saturday and not at all on Sunday. When I asked what had happened he said he was simply “short handed on Sunday.” So instead of the job being Nov 15-17. The job was Nov 15-21; taking twice the time it should have. The wood floors were to be laid down Monday, November 20. Instead, he did not finish painting until Tuesday night, November 21st-two nights before Thanksgiving and with the contracting team off for the 22nd and 23rd, putting the floor four full days behind schedule. Tuesday I went to meet him at the house and he was rushing to leave and get the remainder of the money. He then showed me a Sherwin Williams receipt for nearly $1,300 and said that it was for the paint supplies for my house. I told him that seemed excessive considering the house is not even 1,500 square feet and Sherwin Williams was having a 30% off sale. He said it was because he only used the best quality paint and had to do three coats in some places. The SW receipts that he did leave me total $514.17. He did not leave he the receipt that showed nearly $1,300 of supplies so I don’t know what client that was for, but it was not for my house. He overcharged me approximately $700 but that didn’t occur to me until after he’d left and taken the other receipt with him. Therefore I have no recourse. (A week later I went to Sherwin Williams and explained the scope of the job and size of house and they said that there was no way that supplies could have possibly cost that much money.) I asked him to fix some areas which he either had a crewvmember do or explained that there were places that he simply could not fix (?) and continued to pack up. Again he requested the remainder of the balance which had ballooned to more than $2,000 the original quote leave. He became agitated and told me if "I wanted to argue" with Sherwin Williams I could but that I owed him the extra money. I gave him the final payment of nearly $4,800 and he left and said he would come back in the Spring to schedule painting the exterior. I was by myself with him and his crew and began feeling uncomfortable. He said he to sign a paper stating that he had done a satisfactory job and stood by me while I signed it. He did not give me time to create a punch-list or thoroughly walk through the house. But like I said I pointed out areas to him that needed fixed and he did nothing or had a crew member address them (like paint dripped all over the floors, trim, deck, etc and my bedroom ceiling was not painted at all). The solid wood doors he painted were all damaged and need removed, resanded and repainted because the paint is peeling up and there are enormous drip marks, and there are areas of drywall that were never sanded at all, simply painted over. When I told my husband and the contractor what had happened they told me to contact George and ask him to come back out. My husband reminded me that George told him that he was coming out one more time anyway because he needed to paint trim that the contracting team was lying down. Unfortunately George did not stand up to this obligation nor did he did return my calls or texts or the calls from my husband. In conclusion, the job is not done, he took twice as long as he originally stated, there are damaged areas of my house that I will have to figure out how to fix on my own, he overcharged me $700 and charged me nearly doubled the price of his original quote and then rushed me to pay him and now does not return calls or texts and refuses to return as promised to check over the trim work. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but George did not resolve it, I am now just looking to warn people about his services. I have many terrible photos to show of his work. I have paid nearly $1,000 so far to start to get the walls and doors he skipped or destroyed fixed.

It was a good experience. They did a good job. They sent several workers and got it done quickly, which was nice! They also come back to look the job over and to make sure the job is done well. I would recommend him.

Terrible! George did none of the painting and his painters did the worst job imaginable. Even the guy he sent out to try to fix all the bad painting said he was embarrassed at such a lousy job. George said he was going to come out and fix things himself until we were happy but never showed even after many phone calls. Jodi Roberts, our realtor, said she was going to put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

George was easy to contact and get an estimate.  The price was very reasonable and the paint job looks great.  He was very willing to do whatever it took to make me happy with his service.  The project was done quickly and he cleaned up after he was done.  Thank you.

Good quality, good price. We were under the impression that the owner would be doing the painting, but he did none. Luckily, the employee who did most of the work was excellent.

George's painting team was punctual and professional.  Painters cleaned up yard daily after finishing painting.  His handyman was not very good.  Took 3 trips to correct issues with door trim and installation of weatherstripping, he spliced in weather stripping and used different color and left his pieces laying in mulch.  Paint job has turned out terrible.  When they finished, they said it would take a couple of weeks from where they touched up with brushes for that to blend in, said it would cure as it aged.  Well it didn't.  George came back out in November 2013 and said they would need to repaint it.  Came back out in spring and said they would have to paint entire house.  He came out and painted front of garage and didn't like the way that finished either.  Brought Sherwin Wiliams rep out to check paint and house, which is hardy plank.  House was 10 years old.  Rep said it had something to do with roof.  All I've heard is excuses and I'm left with a bad paint job where streaks where they touched up show through.  Would not recommend and will not use again.

I believe his price was fair for the work, considering $100 of it was for paint.  George (owner) himself was very nice and I could tell was very thorough.  I don't believe the other gentleman who actually did the work was quite so thorough.  The patching he did on the wall ended up cracking and in several spots you can see it raised above the surface.  To be fair George told me if I noticed anything after the fact that wasn't up to snuff to call him and I did not.  I'm sure he would have come out to fix it, I just didn't want the hassle.  I'd rather have it done right the first time.  The person who did the work was also about 2 hours later than he said he'd be and I had to call and find out what was going on.

They did an excellent job of painting everything, carefully painting those details which should be painted, and avoiding those which should not. They applied 2 coats everywhere, and 3 where there was new siding.  The house looks like brand new, and will probably never have to be painted again.  The staff painters are friendly and skilled, and open to discuss every detail.  They clean up afterwards and left no paint residue anywhere.  George himself is very accommodating and always wants to answer every question.  I cannot find anything to criticize and would recommend them to anyone.

George and his crew were great.  George communicated frequently and made sure we were satisfied.  He and his crew arrived early and worked steadily throughout the days until the job was complete.  They were very professional and friendly (great with my dogs!).  The price was very reasonable.  We are very satisfied with the service and the outcomes, and would highly recommend.

Used Angie's List to come up with 4 Exterior Painter's to freshen our 5 year-old New England Home. George Beyer contacted my husband within 24 hours to discuss message left on his office phone. We were out of town and hoped the contractors would be able to quote without our presence. George visited our home on schedule and phoned while on-site. He reviewed the items we asked for quote and recommended a whole-house power wash and painting of the shutters and downspouts. We had completely forgotten about the shutters, but recognized that the downspout had some staining based on overflow. We were happy that he suggested the additional items. At the same time, we were seriously considering Powell Painting - just as competent, but did not recommend the total package that would bring our home back to move-in condition. Powell had several e-mail for follow-up with my husband and seems to be completely customer focused - we would have contracted them without reservation if we had not also contacted George Beyer. The other 2 companies we contacted were much less interested in customer service and were not considered. One week after the initial call and request for quote, George visited and presented us with the quote requested, along with details about the suggested add-ons. We were confident that he was customer-oriented and paid 50% of the total price. Our home was done within 2 weeks (per schedule - other jobs and rain) and we are completely satisfied with the results. There were a few wood repairs and nail hole repairs that are now invisible. The 2 coats of paint appear to shine. He used a satin finish on our prior matte shutters and they pop against the stone. We couldn't be happier. The downspouts round out the refresh and most people would never know the house is not brand new. We returned home last night to see the finished product and were ecstatic. I am glad that I used Angie's List to steer me in the right direction. This morning, George and his foreman visited for a final review. There are no issues - we are completely satisfied. He left us with a bucket of paint for any touch-ups we might need in the coming years before out next overall refresh. We will work with him annually for whole-house power-washing and have already inquired about some interior work for this winter. George and his crew did a wonderful job - there is 0 evidence they were ever on-site except for a freshly painted house and happy home-owners. Thanks for all your hard work - we will work with you again on our next projects.

George Beyer Painting power washed, caulked, and painted the exterior of our two story house.  George was great.  When he came to our house for the estimate, he took his time, answered all of our questions, and made sure we understood what services he was going to provide.  The painters were very neat and professional.  They cleaned up every night.  The whole experience was great.  We would definitely use George Beyer again.

We made a contract for the work that is listed above. I paid George for the projects before the work was finished. He completed the majority of the work, but some was delayed due to weather and other circumstances and he has have never come back to finish the project. I had to cancel one appointment in December because I had to work, but I called several times to reschedule. The project manager blamed me for the work not being done because I had to cancel the one time, which was weeks earlier. I was finally able to get a hold of George weeks later to set an appointment, but he didn’t show up.  I have called back since then and I still haven’t been able to set another appointment. I am tired of having to deal with this and George is stealing my money for the work that hasn’t been finished. He even hired a sub-contractor to do all of the work and George has never paid him for his services.
Response from George Beyer Painting
"I take a lot of pride in my customer satisfaction. [Member name removed] is one of my first complaints, and I am very sorry that my work or my work ethic wasn't to her satisfaction. This job started at the beginning of December 2012, I had told [Member name removed] that I will need all of the materials to complete the job. (Which were extra and not on contract) I had made several attempt to take the best care of her as I could, but the materials were not supplied and I did all that I could do extra for her. free of charge, There was only an interior contract signed!""
