"We were really impressed with Ryan R. and Bryan K. We needed our concrete patio cracks repaired, even, and leveled. They did an outstanding job! Very professional and explained everything to us in detail and asked if we had any questions prior to starting the work. Cleaned up any mess as they were working and after they finished. I highly recommend these two individuals to do any type of concrete work you need done! Thank you Ryan R. and Bryan K. Mike & Donna Shirey"

Small jobs welcome

"They did an excellent job. Thought I would have to replace the concrete, but saved a ton by leveling. They showed up on time, and even did a couple of things not in the quote."

"Tim and his father did a great job replacing a couple squares of sidewalk at our home that were done improperly by a different contractor. They got me an estimate and fit me in their schedule quickly, all while doing the work the right way at a fair cost. I would definitely ask them to do additional work in the future and recommend them if you need concrete or masonry work as well. They are also licensed in Columbus and insured. Before hiring any vendor to do work at your home, I highly recommend you verify both of those things. I came across a number of other concrete vendors who did not have either or both of those documents and some were less than forthcoming about it."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Before starting a concrete leveling project in Newark, a professional will locate underground utilities like plumbing, gas, and electrical lines to prevent disruption. The work can also alter existing drainage patterns, which is critical given the area's clay soil. In older homes, integrated patio and foundation systems may be affected, and outdoor HVAC units could require temporary disconnection or protection during the process.

Helpful?

In Newark, OH, the expansive clay soil means small seasonal cracks can signal ongoing movement. Watch for dips that worsen after winter's freeze-thaw cycles or hairline cracks that expand during wet spring and fall seasons. Water pooling on your concrete is another red flag, as it accelerates deterioration. If you notice issues spreading to nearby sidewalks or your foundation, address them promptly.

Helpful?

In Newark, OH, modern concrete leveling methods like polyurethane foam injection are ideal for future property changes. The small injection holes can be easily reopened if you need to access utilities or make modifications later. This is a significant advantage over older mudjacking techniques. Documenting the injection points provides a clear map for any future work, ensuring seamless expansions or repairs.

Helpful?

In central Ohio, you'll find several types of professionals for concrete leveling. Regional specialists often focus on polyurethane foam injection, while some local general contractors in Newark may offer traditional mudjacking. For more complex issues, foundation repair specialists are equipped to handle structural problems. You can also find masonry contractors who provide both repair and full replacement options for damaged concrete slabs.

Helpful?

In Newark, unexpected project needs can arise from the area's heavy clay soil, sometimes requiring multiple lifting sessions to achieve stability. Poor drainage might necessitate installing a new system like a French drain. If utility lines are discovered in the work area, they may need to be rerouted. Additionally, access challenges on narrow lots in older neighborhoods can require specialized equipment, affecting the project's scope.
