"Sand Rite did a good job on installing my kitchen pergo flooring. They installed the molding I purchased and the kitchen looks good, however, they did not finish the transition molding and an unfinished area in front of my french doors. I sent several emails that were unanswered. I don't feel I need to chase a contractor."

"We had all three floors of our home painted and it looks beautiful. The owner walked us through the house and helped us decide on just the right colors. The painters were professional, polite and pleasant people who showed up every day on time, were very careful with our belongings and cats and just did a wonderful job. We are very happy with the results."

"Very professional job. Top notch service and work ethic. Could never tell we had the ceiling repaired and the painting was perfect. I don't want to go on because I need them to come back to my house to paint the whole first floor and afraid they might become to busy. When you use them you will be as happy as I am."

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

A land survey includes the layout of a single property, including precise measurements and to-scale drawings of boundary lines, land improvements, and sometimes other features, like topography and drainage information. A plat map includes the layouts and boundary lines of several adjacent plots and basic structure measurements. Surveys are normally more valuable for homeowners and buyers, and plat maps are for governmental use.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water.

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.
