Albaugh Construction and Flooring

Great experience. Travis and his workers are friendly, relatable and knowledgeable. We had kitchen floor and another floor replaced and are very happy with both. Travis took time to make sure we picked the right flooring because we have two large dogs, therefore we needed something very durable and waterproof. I have already Recomended Travis to a friend who needs some new flooring. The experience has been very positive and refreshing. I contacted 3 contractors at the same time and Travis was first to respond one of them still hasn’t. Thank you Albaugh Construction you made a dreaded situation a painless experience. You are a blessing. Pastor Jerralyn & Mike Myers This was posted right after job was done and we were very happy with it. But after about 3 or 4 months it started falling apart. We contacted Travis after some time he came to fix it and it now is even worse than before. Both room we had him do the floors are coming apart and he now will not answer my txt. We spent $4831.00 on floors that are falling apart and we have been very patient. I am beyond disappointed we have not had the floors for even a year and they are terrible. He promised us the would last for a long time and now we are going to have to pay someone else for new floors. Looks like we are going to court. All Travis had to do was make it right and now he isn’t even trying. In order to get more flooring we will have to take him to court so we can afford to fix them. DISAPPOINTED! They are separating and pealing. He told me to super glue them down.

Great company, would recommend for any floor job

Failed to complete flooring after we objected to him subbing in some **crew** of random people instead of finishing the work personally, as guaranteed and agreed upon. Texted us that he would consider the job complete and money owed if we did not let his crew finish the job after we requested he is present to oversee his **crew** or finish the work himself, as promised initially. Rather than complete the flooring prior to our move in date, he took another job and left our flooring job incomplete. We hired him because he expressly, explicitly told us HE would be doing the work personally (we had prior issues with flooring companies subbing out work to criminal contractors) AND could get it done within that week, as we were scheduled to move in by the end of the week. He was given 24 hour access to the home for most of the project to come and go as needed to finish the job and clean up after himself. Failed to replace existing baseboards while waiting for new ones to arrive, alleging that the new ones would be there in a day or two anyway. When half the baseboards arrived, he failed to install them that week as agreed upon. Left the home a total mess with pieces of flooring all over, HUGE pile of sawdust in garage, and dust ALL OVER the home two days before we needed to move in. Baseboards that were installed were not flush or lined up, some overlapping. Transition pieces were lifting off flooring from time of installation, never fixed. Old carpet and baseboards left in our laundry room, despite contract stating removal and disposal of. Rather than taper the hallway to level floor, as agreed upon, he arbitrarily decided to install a kit piece that left huge gap in flooring level without our knowledge or consent. Started out great but super, super disappointing in the end. How someone finishes a project is often more telling than how they start it. I would strongly recommend hiring someone else, particularly given the very high price we were going to pay in total. Fortunately, we only put 50% down, though we will have to pay a significant amount to another company to finish the work and correct the shoddy parts he did.
