"Buyer beware! I hired this company to install an outdoor stamped concrete patio that required coordination with an electrician for a hot tub. The project was delayed 6 weeks after the original placement of concrete stakes and forms due to the City of Dublin electrical inspection. The delay was unfortunate but entirely common when city inspections are required. However, at least 3 weeks of the delay was due to Custom Concrete not returning my calls or prioritizing my project. After the concrete was poured, Custom Concrete placed a sealer that bubbled all over the entire patio the next day. As a customer, I understand that problems sometimes occur and perfection is unrealistic. Therefore, I allowed this company to make it right without paying them the final payment installment. After trying to use another chemical to remove the bubbles, the concrete looked completely uneven with large dark and light differences. At that time, the owner (Art) agreed to completely reseal the patio. After waiting 3 days to see if the new sealer would bubble and assurance from Art that it was "highly unlikely" to happen again, I paid my bill in full. About 2 weeks after the second sealer was installed, the bubbles returned in large patches. When I contacted Art, he suggested I wait a couple YEARS to allow the sun to wear off the defective sealer or contact the sealer manufacturer myself. I agreed to let this company walk away from this defective project if they were willing to compensate me in order to hire a competent concrete company to fix it. I asked Art to give me a fair refund amount and he told me to "keep dreaming." In addition to this company's complete lack of concrete knowledge, Art is the most unprofessional business owner I've ever encountered. Reviews from other sites say the same thing."

Basketball Goals questions, answered by experts

Yes, many companies offer customizable colors, markings, and even logos for personalized courts.

The most affordable option to build a basketball court is asphalt. Asphalt costs $7 to $15 per square foot. This accessible and highly bouncy material will make your court perfect for a casual game or a serious play-off. You can also invest in a basketball DIY kit for additional padding. These kits cost around $1,500 and come with pre-marked, easy-to-install flooring tiles for a halfcourt. For hoops and scoreboards, look through your local used sporting supplies store or talk to school districts to see if you can snatch any equipment that’s being retired.

Yes, repurposing an existing tennis or basketball court is one of the cheapest and fastest ways to get a playable pickleball space. If the surface is in good shape, all you need to do is repaint the lines and install a pickleball net. If the surface is cracked or uneven, resurfacing may be necessary, which adds to the cost but is still cheaper than building from scratch.

The life span of your pickleball court depends on factors like the surface material, how well it’s maintained, and your region. However, with proper maintenance, asphalt pickleball courts typically last 10 to 25 years, concrete lasts 10 to 30 years, and rubber lasts 10 to 15 years.

So long as your court and hoop dimensions are the same, any basketball player can get a great workout and improve their skills on an indoor or outdoor court. However, you might consider using or building an indoor court if you live in a particularly rainy or windy area, as this can make it difficult to play outdoors.
