Mike Powers responded to my query within seconds. I hadn't even had a chance to create my Angi password yet. Unlike other contractors, he gave me a quote within a week. (One contractor came out twice, then never gave me a quote or answered my follow-up emails. Guess he didn't want my business.) The biggest delay was obtaining the generator I wanted, a Kohler instead of a Generac. But everything was great on Mike's end. His electrical crew was thorough and efficient, as were the sub-contracted plumbers. Now, I just hope I have no need to use it, although I am confident it will work.

We played phone tag but when we got together Mike and his crew were prompt ,and professional and did a excellent job.

We had a few days where we missed each other's phone calls. When we connected Mike was very interested in what I wanted. He initially asked if I needed a whole house Generator. When he came out he again asked me what my goals were. After he verified my needs, he recommended 2 options. An 18kw unit would be the his suggestion. I had 2 other companies cone out and they recommended the 20kw solution. Spoke to Mike again and he did have a 20kw unit available. The 28kw was on Backorder. Armed with the quotes from the 3 companies, Mike not only had the Best Price, didn't try to make me do it immediately. The unit itself was over $500.00 cheaper than the price from various other places. His total price was $4,500 less than one of the other companies and over $1,500 less than the other company.

Despite the bad weather this pro showed up and quickly corrected the problem with the generator. He was concerned the weather could cause a power outage and did not want to leave me without heat or lights. Very professional.

While doing the project, Mike Powers discovered significant work needed on the wires connecting my house to the electricity supply and fixed it and discovered a problem with our furnace that could have leaked Carbon Monoxide into the house. I was able to get a furnace specialist to fix iit the next day. He probably saved my life! All work was done quickly and professionally and he and his workers were very friendly throughout.

Actually, we did not get a new panel; after our house had been hit by lightning (we later learned it hit the cable box), we lost power and were unable to reset the panel. Powers Electric came over, saw that it was only necessary to pull the reset switch a little further, and once that was done, the power came back. They didn't charge us anything! We are grateful.
