Buyer beware! I hired this company to install an outdoor stamped concrete patio that required coordination with an electrician for a hot tub. The project was delayed 6 weeks after the original placement of concrete stakes and forms due to the City of Dublin electrical inspection. The delay was unfortunate but entirely common when city inspections are required. However, at least 3 weeks of the delay was due to Custom Concrete not returning my calls or prioritizing my project. After the concrete was poured, Custom Concrete placed a sealer that bubbled all over the entire patio the next day. As a customer, I understand that problems sometimes occur and perfection is unrealistic. Therefore, I allowed this company to make it right without paying them the final payment installment. After trying to use another chemical to remove the bubbles, the concrete looked completely uneven with large dark and light differences. At that time, the owner (Art) agreed to completely reseal the patio. After waiting 3 days to see if the new sealer would bubble and assurance from Art that it was "highly unlikely" to happen again, I paid my bill in full. About 2 weeks after the second sealer was installed, the bubbles returned in large patches. When I contacted Art, he suggested I wait a couple YEARS to allow the sun to wear off the defective sealer or contact the sealer manufacturer myself. I agreed to let this company walk away from this defective project if they were willing to compensate me in order to hire a competent concrete company to fix it. I asked Art to give me a fair refund amount and he told me to "keep dreaming." In addition to this company's complete lack of concrete knowledge, Art is the most unprofessional business owner I've ever encountered. Reviews from other sites say the same thing.

We arrived on 6/24, to install a colored stamped concrete patio and steps, which should have taken a week, we were there 3-1/2 months due to her having poorly planned with other tradesmen.I have worked in good faith and done all I can to satisfy this customer with a beautiful quality crafted patio and steps. Given her statements it solidifies she is not working in good faith to remedy any sealer issues but merely wants $500. Getting the owner out there for a quote went very smooth. We were a little further out on the project than I wanted but it was to be expected since it was the busy season. The owner is a very easy going person and is pleasant to work with. Once the project was completed we were very happy with how it turned out. We were told to reseal the concrete every two years but after just a year it was wearing away and the concrete was losing its color. Tried to get in contact with the owner for a month and couldn't get a response. After leaving a response via Facebook he finally emailed back and said sunlight and weather can cause it to fade quicker. That made sense so I asked him if he would be able to come out and give a price on resealing it and still haven't gotten a response back. That was over 2 months ago. Him and his crew do good work but if there is something you have a concern/problem with dont expect a speedy response or a response at all.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! You always hear the nightmare stories when folks talk about contractors, but I have no negative things to say about this company. I had gotten 3 estimates from concrete contractors and this company was by far the least expensive. Art, the owner, and his crew were fantastic! Art was there throughout the whole process and his crew was very nice and respectful. They kept me updated throughout the process and were extremely efficient at what they did. They took special care to minimize the damage done to our grass and the finished product looks great! I would not hesitate to recommend them for any concrete project.

Art and his crew were great. His price for the patio was fair. He started and finished exactly when he said he would.
Not all concrete contractors are the same. We got ripped off by a different guy two years ago. He seems good - many years in business working with concrete business, nice pictures. Then he disappeared with our money.
Art is the first to amid the concrete trade attracts drunks and thieves. Do not pay your contractor a dime until the day he starts work. We paid Art half the day he started and the balance about a week later when the job was done. He was recommended to us by Deco-Crete which is the top stamped concrete vendor in Columbus.

The entire process was very easy. Art came by to review the scope of work and provide a quote. He was very responsive & transparent throughout the entire process. The project took approximately 1 week from start to finish.
We were required to get a permit with the city; Art took care of this for us.
Once we had the permit, Art and his team were there the next day (Friday) to remove the deck and prep the frame for the patio. The following Tuesday the team was back to start on the patio. By Saturday the patio was completed and looks awesome.
Art and his team did a great job! We are extremely happy with our new patio and the service he provided.

Owner came some 6 weeks before the work to provide an estimate, and to say it would be about 6 weeks before they could do the work. He called the week before the work to give me a date. The crew showed up on time and worked hard over 3 days, and returned after the weekend to complete the work. The crew was most professional and friendly. I made a couple changes in the project, which were accommodated quickly and with a fair price adjustment. The crew worked well to keep the damage to the grass at a bare minimum - great for backyard concrete work. We are very pleased with the end result and would hire them again.

While we did have to wait a number of weeks as he had jobs lined up. It was so worth the wait. Art and his crew were very friendly and worked hard. They did an amazing job! I was a little unsure about doing stamped concrete, but I simply LOVE how it turned out! They were also the lowest bid from the places we contacted. I would definitely refer them and would definitely use them again!

Art was able to fit us in quickly. We didn't have a large patio installed it's roughly 300 sqft plus wedding cake steps. Art finished it today and boy are we happy. Arts team did a great job and Art was nothing less than the best. I would recommend him to anyone with a word of advice, if Art is booked full his work is worth the wait

Art came out to give us an estimate. He was very professional and open to all of our questions and concerns. He returned to do the work shortly after we agreed to pricing and colors. He and his crew were very careful in caring for our yard and driveway and others ares they had to work around. He quote was very competitive and he was very honest with us. The patio looks great and we are very pleased. We highly recommend Custom Concrete Plus.

Excellently. The crew took time to explain how the rebarbed into my foundation to prevent separation, laid down reinforcement for the concrete. poured the foundation for the wall. slightly graded the patio away from the house, colored the concrete, stamped it, and then over cut it to prevent cracks. Very detailed.

It was great. They did the work with minimal disruption. They did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. They wheelbarrowed the concrete so they would not damage our driveway.

Overall it went fine. Art and his crew were very professional and friendly. I never really knew when they were coming or going, only when they were starting and all finished, but, since the work was being done outside, that really didn't matter too much. The result is a beautiful new patio that looks nothing like plain, old concrete.

The quoting process seemed to go well. We wanted a tan patio and brown wall. Art told us it would be about 5 weeks before he could begin installation. After 6 weeks had passed, I called to check in. Art never returned the call. A second call a few days later was also not returned. It wasn't until I called a week or so later and threatened to cancel the deal that Art called me back - within 15 minutes this time. They started work within a couple days, and the patio looked good, the patio color was right, but the wall was Gray. The stone was called Brownstone but isnt Brown at all. When we brought our concerns to Art he basically told us we got what we asked for, and "tough". The patio looks good even though the wall color is different, and Art did follow up with some minor cosmetic fixes. The product was excellent, the experience and the argument over color was not.

"Thank you for the report. At this time we had a couple big jobs going with major deadlines we had to adhere to. Therefore, I was not responding to customers as promptly as I usually do. I provided the member 3 wall samples. At that time, the wall manufacturer, Eddington, only offered 3 colors: Tan, Gray and brown. They call their brown color, Brownstone. Rick chose Brownstone. Wife not present. The sample remained onsite. Then when we built the wall we incorporated the actual sample into the wall. This was a 30 linneal foot by approx. 5' high radius wall with 2 columns contouring the patio we poured. (Not a small wall) Rick called me after we built the wall and said his wife didn't like the color of the wall. I reminded him that he chose the wall color, not me, and asked what he wanted me to do. He implied I tear down the wall and rebuild it with a different color. I informed the memberthat many of the stones in the wall were cut to form the radius. And that all the stones were bonded in place making most of the wall stones unreturnable. Also I had labor and delivery costs involoved. I suggested Rick wait a couple days then decide what he wanted me to do. He called me a couple days later and said his wife had some friends and neighbors over and they loved the wall. The member'swife said she now liked the wall as well. We then were paid for the job. Everybody was happy."

I am so glad that Art has a good sense of humor, otherwise I would've gone crazy waiting for the work to be done. This was a small job for them and smack in the middle of a busy season, so it took them 6 weeks to get to us. They did a great job, and I am very pleased with the work and with Art's easygoing manner. I did find it very frustrating to call and leave message after message and never get a call back from him for weeks! He was very unresponsive in returning phone calls and had he responded at least once, he could've put my mind at ease that the work was going to get done at some point, instead of leaving me to wonder. All in all, my experience with the company could've been better, but they do nice work. I would hire them again, next time for a bigger job and maybe in March!

THIS IS THE COMPANY TO HIRE!!!! Art and his crew of 3 were wonderful to deal with and the end results was spectacular. I wanted a deck-height patio that was curved in spots, with a step around the entire perimeter. They worked with my ideas until it was shaped exactly as I wanted it. The crew showed up every day around 9 a.m and stayed until the work for the day was completed....sometimes until after 5 p.m. They were respectful of my home, my children and even played with my dogs. My lawn is still in great shape even after numerous trips to take concrete into the backyard. The price was the best of the 4 Angie's list companies that I called. This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. I only wish I could share a picture of this patio. You will not be sorry to hire them. Art is good about returning phone calls....he is really busy this time of year so if it takes him some time to return your call, he is worth the wait!

ART DID A GOOD JOB OF COMMUNICATING WITH ME. HE GAVE ME A PROMISE DATE RANGE AND DELIVERED WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE. GOT THE OLD DECK RIPPED UP AND FORMS SET IN 1 DAY, POURED THE NEXT DAY AND CAME BACK TO TAKE FORMS OFF A FEW DAYS LATER.

THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE STAFF ON THE JOB WAS SUPERB. THE WORKERS WERE VERY NICE AND WERE FOCUSED ON THE TASK AT HAND. THEY EVEN WENT ABOVE-AND-BEYOND BY HELPING US CUT ADDITIONAL SOD FOR A SHED THAT WE INSTALLED. THE QUALITY OF THE FINAL PRODUCT WAS EXCELLENT. MANY OF MY NEIGHBORS HAVE COMMENTED ON HOW BEAUTIFUL THE PATIO TURNED OUT. MY FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE MENTIONED HOW YOU COULD NEVER TELL THAT THE MATERIAL USED WAS CONCRETE. WE ONLY HAD TWO ISSUES. ONE, IT TOOK SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO GET A RESPONSE FROM ART, OUR CONTACT WITH CUSTOM CONCRETE PLUS. TWO, OUR CABLE WAS CUT WHEN THE SOD WAS CUT. IT WAS THEN FIXED BY THE WORKERS, BUT WAS AGAIN BROKEN ONCE THE EXTREMELY HEAVY CONCRETE STEP WAS INSTALLED ON TOP OF THE CABLE. THOSE TWO THINGS ASIDE, MY FIANCE' AND I ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY TO SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE.
