"He did a really outstanding job!  He did a lot of little extra things for us to make the house look better.  He took his time on everything.  He was on time and very courteous.  We had such a mess and he really did a nice job fixing everything.  He really went above and beyond.  He worked a lot of long hours to get our job done and we could not be more pleased.  I would highly recommend Tony and will absolutely use him again."

"This job was the result of a special offering.  My experience with other providers is that they come in and do what is minimally required and leave.  This was not the case with Affordable Painting.

They were punctual.  There was some confusions on who was to supply the paint and they had to go out to purchase it.  They made up the time they were gone.  They were thorough and professional.  They voluntarily sanded doors that were fought, which made a world of difference.  The workers never slacked off and made good use of their time.  The walked through everything with me to guarantee satisfaction.  They also cleaned up thoroughly.  I would use them again and highly recommend them."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, deck footings typically require an inspection before laying down concrete. While not all local building codes require footing inspection, proper placement ensures a safe and structurally sound deck. An inspector will verify that the deck can adequately hold what you put on top of it., and that the footings have been dug to the correct dimensions.

Constant exposure to inclement weather conditions can damage your deck, causing it to fade, warp, or crack over time. Regular maintenance keeps it looking and performing its best. That means giving it a good cleaning and applying a quality sealant or wood treatment to help defend against moisture, sun damage, and everyday wear.

Pressure-treated decks last 15 to 20 years on average, but with proper maintenance, you could get 40 to 50 years of value from yours. Reseal your deck every one to two years, and replace old or rotted wood as soon as possible to avoid structural damage. Where you live plays a role in the lifespan of your deck. Intense sunlight, rainfall, wind, and hail can reduce the deck’s lifespan.

The best material for your deck depends on several factors, including your budget, location, aesthetic preferences, and the level of maintenance you’re willing to do. Wood decking, like redwood, ipe, cedar, and pine, lasts the longest, but it’s more expensive and requires more upkeep than composite and synthetic decking.

A covered deck can be a good investment that increases your home value—especially if you live in a hot region with a lot of sun. A covering over the deck means you can get more use out of it, even on the hottest summer days. With a permanent deck covering, you can even add ceiling fans to help cool down your deck for added comfort.
