"He did a really outstanding job!  He did a lot of little extra things for us to make the house look better.  He took his time on everything.  He was on time and very courteous.  We had such a mess and he really did a nice job fixing everything.  He really went above and beyond.  He worked a lot of long hours to get our job done and we could not be more pleased.  I would highly recommend Tony and will absolutely use him again."

"this was an angies list big deal that I bought.
scott, the owner was responsive on the call back, we talked over details over the phone. I was able to get the discounted price on the paint.(Home depot Behr paint, top rated paint ). The workers pre called in the morning to say when they would be there.
This is the big difference from other discounted services that I have used, they showed up in a work truck with all the right tools, drop cloths, step ladders, with-in minutes they were on the job ready to work.
Quality was very good, nice clean lines, no slop, no spots on my floors. This may all seem obvious but I have used other painters where I have had to touch up and clean up the following day.

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Deck stairs should have at least three stringers rather than two. The recommended minimum width for stairs is 36 inches, and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors recommends at least three cut stringers to provide sufficient support on wood decking stairs of this width. Generally, stringers should be a maximum of 16 inches apart for wood decking and 12 inches apart for more flexible composite decking.

In most cases, your deck will need some form of deck footing to hold it in place, preventing moisture from rotting your wood and decreasing your deck’s lifespan. Concrete deck blocks are the most common type of footing for floating decks. Some homeowners use ground-level deck footings. For added security, consider digging and laying your ground-level footings below ground.

Although composite decking is extremely durable, it’s also susceptible to extreme heat. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading, warping, and cracking. Composite also retains heat more than wood, which makes it dangerous to walk on in the summer. You can help prevent heat damage by only building with composite in shaded areas or using rugs to cover the hottest spots.

Typically, most residential wooden decks are designed to support approximately 40 pounds per square foot, including the deck’s weight and any items placed on it. While this is fine for typical use, it is usually not enough to hold the weight of a hot tub filled with water and people. To safely support a hot tub, your wood deck will likely require reinforcement. Therefore, it’s best to have a contractor or a structural engineer assess it before hot tub installation.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
