"I can’t believe I didn’t provide a review for the work Yanton’s did. Chris and his team were top notch. Absolutely no complaints, no problems, and he is a fantastic person to work with and he communicates with clarity, timeliness, and in layman’s terms."

"The On the Nail Roofing team provided a very competitive estimate promptly upon inspecting the roof at no charge, kept me updated on their availability to perform the task around the rainy weather, and completed the task efficiently and effectively. I'd recommend their services to those seeking any types of repairs to their cedar-shingled roofs!"

"Since we wanted the fencing replaced midwinter to minimize flower garden damage, they did the work while we were out of town for several weeks on vacation and sent us pictures of the completed job. The picture showed the gate was hung on the wrong side and they immediately returned and corrected that, sending new pictures afterward. Had we been on site during the project we could have easily straightened out the issue while it was happening. When we returned to town we found another problem that didn't show up in the pictures, and they came back again and corrected everything to our satisfaction. We were extremely happy with their customer service - you don't know how good it will be until there is an issue on the job, and these folks were great to deal with on making things right."

"One of the better experiences I've had with a contractor. The owner provided design considerations, was accommodating and responsive to our needs, well experienced, personable and on schedule. DDR was flexible, patient with our indecisions, and honored the original, quoted price. The crew was professional, knowledgeable, efficient and respectful of our property. All in all, an exceptional contractor!"

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.

Yes, many gazebos are permanent structures built onto the land. However, if you have a portable gazebo that isn’t secured to the ground, you’ll want to check the manufacturer’s instructions to understand when to put it away. Generally speaking, when it’s particularly windy or wet outside, you should take down your temporary gazebo.

On average, building or installing a gazebo costs around $5,700, with a typical range between $3,000 and $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. Material choice is a significant cost driver; for example, brick is often more affordable, while metal can be one of the more expensive options. Square-shaped gazebos can also be more expensive to build. Custom features, such as built-in seating or lighting, will increase the total price. You may be able to save money by purchasing a prefabricated gazebo kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

Fascia and soffits differ in their location and design, but fascia vents are the most popular alternative to soffits. These are a bit more hidden than soffits, but depending on the structure of your roof, they can cost more to install and maintain. They are also installed around the entire roof, whereas soffits can be placed only where you need them or, if the aesthetics bother you, somewhere out of sight.

Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.
