I initially called them on Saturday and set up an appointment for the next Monday. Temps on that Monday were well above 95 with heat index above 103. Unit had bad and leaking capacitors. These were replaced. Before any work was done I was informed of cost of replacement items. He got the unit up and running but, suggested that I should have a leak test done on the system.. While Brad was there I phoned their office and set up the test for the next day. On the next day, Brad again was the fellow lucky enough to have to climb into the attic to check out the air handler, etc. I felt for him. it had to be 125 or 130 degrees up there. Some leaks were found near the outside unit at the valves. I was again informed of replacement pricing of the valves. My decision at this time was not to replace them as I would have about 1/2 the cost of a replacement A/C unit by the time this work would have been completed along with the amount spent on the previous day. I am aware that my units are at or past their usefulness, they are 25 years old. Brad put a type of sealant on the valves to slow down leakage. This will give me some time to make a decision as to replacement of my aging units. I also requested PM on the larger down stairs unit. This was done, at an additional cost, and all seemed to be fine, there. I have no complaints on the work that was done and the manner in which it was done. That being said I must enter my own personal observation here. Accurate Heating purchased the smaller business that installed and serviced my HVAC for several years. It seems to me that some of the personal touch that went with the smaller business has gone away. Being a larger company means that some of the one on one service is left behind. Although Brad did a great job, it just seemed that each and every thing had a dollar sign attached to it. I know it is not him personally... it's just business. Case in point, when the old company (Humble) was called for annual PM on our units all were checked for one price. This time, since I requested a secondary inspection of my other unit, there was a charge for it, over and above the initial service call. I would have thought this would have been done as a part of the service, since they were at the location, any way. As I said, all work done by the tech. was done in a professional and polite manner, and in a timely fashion. My only complaint is that I seem to have lost the personal touch that was a part of the past. When I tell them I have also since found that we definitely could have put in a gas furnace( upon checking with other furnace installers) that I originally purchased they just ignore the issue totally. They continue to tell me nothing is wrong with the new furnace and the Manager Buddy Eubanks will not return my calls when I want to take my case further. A $720.00 electric bill in a 1400 sq ft well insulated home is NOT normal at any time especially the winter of 2012 which went down on record as one of the the mildest winters. The bills continue to be high ($465.00, etc.) and we also had an issue of the heat pump freezing up at the end of the 2012 season, they looked at it and told me it was fine and that the defrost cycle would switch on and take care of it, March 2011 turned warm, the heat pump defrosted and that was the end of it until Dec. 2013, the heat pump was out of warranty for labor and I had to have Sears return as it froze again with the first cold weather and it needed 2 parts which were covered but we had paid $259.00 in labor for something that should have been taken care of in Mar. 2011. Per Steve Borod, Manager in Home Improvement Dept., we could not prove that the part needed replaced in 2011. Next problem was the furnace was unable to keep up with the temp set on the thermostat. Set at 69 degrees and on cold nights/mornings the furnace was at 64 degrees and took all morning to get up to temp.
There are other issues as well that they will not address. The installer, Smith Heating and Cooling, was very nice, professional and responsive on installation and with the high heat bills issue to come look at the furnace in the beginning but when it came to problems or solutions they continually said nothing was wrong. You would have thought that everyone had $720.00 heat bills.
My husband and I have dealt with Sears for many years (in our 70's now) and put our trust in the Sears name on this very expensive project and have been totally let down. Will never deal with Sears again as it apparent they do NOT stand behind their subcontractors and no one wants to take responsibility for any issues what so ever.

When something didn't look just right, he made sure it was fixed. When the siding on the new addition didn't quite match, he had the entire side of the house done. We installed a heated tile floor in the master bath, marble shower with zero entry, soaking tub and counter height granite vanities plus a second closet in the bedroom. Brett, Brad and Wayne were great to have working on our additions. They take pride in their work. They were professional, friendly, and respected our comfort during the entire construction process.

We had him out once to do a bunch of small jobs. We had a lot of issues with the house that we bought. There was some unsafe wiring, they were some outlets that needed to be moved and some lights that needed their sockets repaired. He was here at eight o'clock in the morning and was done by noon. He said he would be there by eight and he was. He just proceeded with it and I showed him everything what needed to do be done. He just buzzed out on everything to make sure there wasn't anything else. He was very good. He was very reasonable and it was worth of an electrician's time. We were thinking of getting switch come electric stove to a gas stove and he just advised us of the cost to do that which meant that we have to upgrade the service of our house. That would be a high expense so he advised we wait on that. He did all the small repairs I would call. There were some broken fixtures in the ceiling. They were three ceiling fixtures that were damaged and electrically it needed to be replaced. Some kind of a light over the kitchen sink was broken so he just removed it, took out the switch and put in an extra outlet. We had moved the water softener from one room to another hallway and we needed to put in an outlet near it and he did that. We just bought the house last summer and in the garage somebody had apparently tampered something in the breaker box to run more power to the garage and it was over heating. I checked around and was referred by a relative to "Right Now Heating & Cooling" who promptly came to my home and gave me an estimate that was Half of what the "Brand Named" company quoted me. Owner Derrick Smith was very personable and professional and cared about minimizing my out of pocket expenses. The Air Conditioning was fixed with a No Leak Guarantee.
On 6/17/2011 while at work I received a call from home saying the A/C was not working. I immediately called Derrick who met me that evening as I got home from work. Upon examination he found that the Capacitor on the outside unit had gone bad and he fixed it on the spot. He charged me $70 and I gave him a $20 tip. The vibration was causing the flue pipe which goes from the basement, up through two floors and through the roof to vibrate and periodically rattle inside my walls. Ben told me over the phone that it had to be the blower wheel and he even \"GUARANTEED\" it. He scheduled his repairman (Tom) to come and replace it. The part was still under warranty on my 3 yr. old furnace but because they had just recently worked on my furnace Ben did not charge me for a service call, nor did he charge me the warranty handling fee. "Kyle did a great job of tackling the issue that the previous repair company didn't want to deal with. He spoke and dressed very professionally and didn't try to upcharge me for services that were unneeded. I feel like he is someone who I can trust and spent his time well working the entire time he was here. He seemed very knowledgeable about the issue and how to tackle it. I'm worried about other companies who just try to sell a new unit rather than fixing them. I'm glad to say that he didn't try to sell a new unit but to repair the one we had. He spoke with us about the many options that we could have done so we could decide ourselves how we wanted to proceed. Definitely a must hire, and top of my recommendations list. The best thing about hiring him was to see someone of the younger generation getting into the trade skills. I'm glad to have him and hope he is around to be my long-term repairman. He even spoke with us after the job was done when I had questions about a furnace and how much new ones cost. He didn't try to push me into a sale but answered my question with a smile."

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Kenton, OH
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
