Customers say: Terrific value

"Erbs was incredible to work with from the very beginning to the finished product. Edwin and Kenny were great to talk to. They are knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth and made us feel confident they were the ones for the job. A crew of three men came to tear off old siding and replace. They worked in the freezing cold and did not stop until the job was done. Kenny was there everyday checking on the progress and the workmanship. We are extremely happy with Erb?s professionalism and craftsmanship. So happy, we are having them replace our roof as well."

"Customer service was excellent. John and Joel were very helpful and knowledgeable. New exterior siding and trim covered. Louis’ crew was professional and knowledgeable. During final walk around found a defective vinyl siding piece and nails showing. They fixed the issue promptly. Clean up complete that day including dumpster and excess material. I recommend their service."

Marcus with the building ideas. He puts pride into it like it's his home every thing. He's done 2 building for me and will be doing another one for me in the future. There's no one else I will call! "I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Oil-based stains are preferred over latex or water-based varieties because your home's cedar siding must constantly withstand the weather conditions in your location. These stains provide better penetration into the wood to more effectively protect it from UV rays and water infiltration. Oil-based stains are available in transparent, semi-transparent, opaque, or solid-color selections to achieve the look you desire.

DIY is possible, but professional installation ensures weatherproofing, insulation, and proper fastening.

Yes, vertical and horizontal siding both come in the same materials, including wood, vinyl, aluminum, and engineered wood. The material you choose can significantly affect your siding’s overall price, lifespan, insulation properties, and maintenance costs.

Wood siding requires that air can circulate behind it and that water can drain away if necessary. Your home needs a water-restrictive barrier underneath furring strips to achieve the air and water gap.

If you’re wondering how to clean clapboard siding, the approach depends on its material and condition. Siding in good shape may need only light soap and spray from the hose, while older siding often requires more thorough treatment. For serious cleaning, power washing can remove caked-on dirt, but you should consider hiring a professional to avoid causing damage in the process.
