I am the owner and only employee of this business. I will assess problems and if I can not fix it I will try and refer you to someone who can. I have brought in helpers/tradesmen on bigger jobs but generally I am the only person on sight and no one ever works without me.

Whether you need window installation, roofing, siding, remodel, an addition or new home, we are uniquely positioned and qualified to deliver outstanding quality, on-time performance and on-budget completion.

"In a word, Awful. Promises made not kept. Subpar craftsmanship/workmanship. Warranty 12 mos. is far below industry standards. Had to hire another contractor (to the tune of $13,000) To cleanup issues that they either refused to address or were not capable of fixing. Although the company name is quite fitting "HOMEWORKS" when you get HOME you will be finishing their WORK!"

At JNL Contractors L.L.C. We have three partners with 30 years experience in real estate, as property investors for rentals and sales, and combined 25 years experience in all phases of construction. We specialize in insurance work, and we truly have the motto that no job is to small, we are sensitive to your needs, with a friendly, professional, and outgoing attitude along with quality workmanship we truly should be your first call for all your construction needs. We have 3 dedicated owners in our L.L.C. Who work full time 24 hours a day, not one of those answering services you typically get at 2 a.m. You get Justin, Nick, or, Leslie on the phone and one of us will be there within 2 hours depending on how far away, if your local to stark county within 30 minutes. We also have an electrician, plumber, roofing crew, siding crew, and interior crew who are not subs, but actually are employees, we are not storm chasers so to speak, but locally owned contractors who live in your community, to serve our communities with a higher standard. Generally, for services rendered we require half down and the remainder to be paid upon completion, once you are satisfied with our work. We love our community and if you are an active or retired military service man or woman, a retiree, or someone with disabilities we offer discounts on our labor. If you are not any of the above we still strive to be the best so if you have three bids from verifiable contractors who are local to the area, we will match, or in most cases beat all competitors by at least 5%, so why not give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Woodworking questions, answered by experts

In many cases, yes, you’ll need building permits for a carport. The exact laws and regulations depend on where you live, but generally speaking, you’ll need a building permit for any carport that will be permanently affixed to the ground. Premade carports sometimes don’t require planning permission or permits, but standalone and attached carports usually do. We recommend you contact your local building department to find out before beginning any carport project.

Building a new home can be more expensive than buying an existing one, depending on the housing market in your area. Many homeowners still find that building a new house is worth the investment as they can choose the exact layout they want, as well as to choose their own floors, wall coverings, appliances, and finishes. If you live close enough to the build site, you can also stop by to check on the builder’s progress, which can provide some peace of mind that the project is worth it.

Although dependent on the type and size of lumber, most 2-by-4-by-8-foot pieces of lumber cost anywhere from $3 to $6. Softwood lumber like pine falls on the lower end of the spectrum, while hardwood lumber like oak or walnut falls on the higher end. Different retailers and lumber yards can also vary in price, so it helps to shop around to compare prices.

There are both temporary and permanent ways to enclose a carport. If you’re looking to enclose your carport for the winter, a canvas enclosure could do the trick. It won’t be as protective as a permanent structure, but it can offer some protection from elements like snow, rain, and wind. For a permanent enclosure, you can add extra walls, add a new vertical roof, or a lean-to addition on one side of the structure.

DIY is possible, but professional construction ensures structural integrity and proper anchoring.
