"Mice problem in 4400 sq ft of attic; they removed all insulation then disinfected and sanitized the area. Installed new thermal, acoustical, and pest control insulation. Inspected and sealed any exterior entry points. Also included food traps. Josh and his team are fantastic, very professional. They communicate at every step of the way. Avoid using cleaning products with fruit or citrus smells, however.

Carpet beetles do not bite humans, but their larvae can cause skin irritation that’s often mistaken for bites. These tiny, bristly larvae have barbed hairs that can lead to allergic reactions in sensitive individuals, resulting in red, itchy welts or rashes. While the irritation may resemble bug bites, it’s actually a response to contact with the hairs or shed skins, not an actual bite. Adult carpet beetles are harmless and primarily feed on pollen, but their larvae can damage natural fibers like wool, fur, or leather in carpets, clothing, and upholstery.

While carpet beetles won’t bite you like bed bugs do, they still aren’t pests you’d want to find in your home. Carpet beetles in their larva stage can be voracious and cause a lot of damage as they eat through fabrics on furniture, clothing, bedding, rugs, and other materials. If you see carpet beetles, you’ll want to have an exterminator come by to assess the damage and control the infestation.
