"Carlton was very knowledgeable about granite, quartz, marble etc. He explained his process, was on time and communicated when he would be arriving. He took his time to do the repair, but worked efficiently. He was very kind, and overall a genuinely nice person. His prices were exceptionally fair. I would recommend him to any family or friend."

"On our 160 yr + old house ( 10.5 foot ceilings) we needed to drywall over wall paper. The estimate was in the next day and they started sooner then expected. Great attention to detail and they cleaned up after the work was done. I will hire them again."

Small jobs welcome

"Sinisa does great work, our quartz countertops are absolutely gorgeous! He takes time to go over things and is very professional. We did not want to use a box store so we went with Giant. He called us back right away. Very happy with the results. Patience is key with the install. Thank you."

"Elliott has done a good job so far. I'm happy with his work. When I wasn't happy with something he was most willing to fix it. I've recommended him to others and would hire him again."

"Very conscientious and thorough. He did the work that other contractors said they couldn't do and did the project within weeks as opposed to other contractors who promised a month and then delayed their work."

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

White quartz is a very low-maintenance countertop material. It’s nonporous, so it won’t stain, even if you spill dark liquids on it. The light color will make dirt show up much easier, but a simple wipe-down will keep the countertops looking fresh and bright for years to come. However, it might not be the best kitchen countertop idea on a budget because it's expensive.

One of the primary benefits of a soapstone countertop is that the material is heat-resistant. You can put a hot pan on soapstone, and it won’t scorch or crack. Despite being able to handle extreme heat, soapstone is much softer than granite, quartz and similar materials. This means that it scratches easily, so you should not prepare food directly on the surface.

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.

Common issues include cracks, stains, scratches, and chips. These can occur from impacts, spills, or improper maintenance. Addressing them promptly can prevent further damage and maintain the countertop’s aesthetic and functional integrity.

Yes, marble countertops are fairly soft and can scratch easily, especially compared to rival materials. However, most marble scratches are easy to repair, thanks to marble polish and repair kits. Deep scratches will require a professional.
