"Lance and his company was most professional and courteous before we even committed to an install. Once we scheduled an install, it was well executed and looked and worked great. Training was done by a superb trainer that our dog took to immediately. You can tell they care about their profession as well as the animal. A year later, damage was done by a third party. Lance himself showed up promptly on a holiday weekend to fix the fence and save our weekend. I can't recommend Lance's Hidden Fencing enough. A+ job."

"I called several places for a quote; some were not interested in the job. One of the businesses referred me to Fence-N-Deck Doctors. Setting up my appointment for an estimate was fast and easy. He was professional, provided us a very honest opinion with suggestions, and knew exactly what we wanted. They didn't come out when we expected but it was for the obvious heavy rain season we just had. I was updated regularly. The day finally come, their crew showed up and went to work. All of them knew what their job was and worked in sync with one another. Everyone was super friendly and did a great job of cleaning up as they went. We are very happy with our fence and the professionalism of everyone involved."

"Since we were completely satisfied with the fence and arbor that Morrison Fence built for us two years ago, this company was the only one we called when we wanted to replace the rest of the fencing on our property. As usual, Jesse Morrison agreed to come out to do an estimate within a couple of days of my call. The estimate was well within our expectations. The project was started within two weeks and took two days to completd. The fence is exactly what we wanted. His crew is very nice and professional. They build a great fence. They removed all old fence materials and left the yard very clean and neat. I would recommend this company to everyone I know."

"My father is in a wheelchair and can't do most of the yard work anymore, but he loves having his garden and flowers and knows exactly what needs to be done to maintain it. I bought him a package of 8 hrs worth of Landscaping and he was so pleased with the work. He was able to sit at the edge of the yard before they began and point to what he wanted done and he never had to remind them of what he said. Two men worked for 4 hrs on Halloween morning. We looked over everything after they left. At first he was a little dismayed because he thought they didn't make good use of their time - there was a huge overgrowth of 6ft+ weeds and thorn bushes at their back fence that he wanted weed wacked. He wondered why they didn't use his weedwacker. He can't get his chair or scooter out to the back of the garden so I went back there and realized they had pulled every last one by hand, from the root. It looked like a different yard! He set up raised beds for growing food years ago and they got up into those beds and weeded them all by hand too - even took out some of the topsoil that had weed seed all through it, which will mean less work come spring. My father has already asked me to make arrangements to have them back. He is very meticulous about work being done on his home and this company made him very happy. I am pleased to deal with people that would not try to take advantage of a handicapped person who can't verify what they're doing. It was a very positive experience.

"It was very important to repair the fence to its previous strength as we have dogs and were concerned about any of them getting out. Jeff was the lowest bid on the job and was the most professional from the first time we met him. He took care not to damage any existing flowers and shrubs that we planted at the side that was most heavily damaged. He did a great job and I couldn't ask more concerning the quality of his work. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a new fence or repair."

"Excellent.  JC3 is a small company.  Jerry, the owner, gave us several alternatives to replace an existing fence and we settled on cedar dog-ear pickets.  Total job time was about 4 hours, 2 hours in the evening to remove and set new posts and 2 hours the next morning to install the stringers and pickets.  I was impressed with the professionalism, speed of the work and price paid.
You won't be disappointed...

FAQs for fencing service projects in Hebron, OH

Yes, most states require a fencing installer to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed fence installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Fence installers typically charge by the hour when working on a project. Typically, you can expect to pay around $50 per hour for fence installation. Your project might take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the length of your fence, overall project complexity, and fence type

The average cost to install a fence is between $1,760 and $4,500. These costs are what an average homeowner spends, but you might spend more or less depending on several factors. For a smaller DIY project, you might get away with spending as little as $430, or for a much larger project (like fencing for a 5-acre yard), you can spend in excess of $43,000.

Besides the size of your yard, other factors like your fence material, fence height, site prep, and additional fence features like gates all impact the overall cost. Additionally, the high cost of raw materials and manufacturing can all make the overall price tag higher.

Before you hire a fence installer to build you the fence of your dreams for your yard, it’s important to set expectations up front by asking questions. Some questions to consider include:

  • Do you offer a warranty?

  • Do you offer financing or a payment plan?

  • Do you have references?

  • Do you have photos of previous work?

  • What type of fencing materials do you work with?

Only some fences require a permit to build. Factors like where you live, how tall your fence will be, and where in your yard you plan to build all impact the need to have a permit. Below are a few examples of when a permit is needed; it’s always best to check with your fence installer to confirm if a permit is required.

Generally, if you live somewhere rural, like on a farm, there’s a good chance you will not need a fence permit. However, you will most likely need a permit if you live in a highly-populated area. In addition, many privacy fences in your backyard won’t need a permit if it is 6 feet or shorter. However, you might need a permit for anything over 3.5 feet in your front yard.
