This company did an excellent job. From the initial contact through the installation, they were professional, and very knowledgeable. A special shout out to Sarah, our installer, who did a wonderful job and explaining the boundaries and how the fence operates on our acre and a quarter property.

After taking in 2 of my Uncle’s dogs after his unexpected passing, we were in need some sort of fencing solution since our new additions were coming from sunny AZ where they had access to the outdoors majority of the day. After asking a community group on fb for recommendations, Dog Guard came strongly recommended. I was sold after one conversation with Heather. She knows her product. They were understanding and patient with our needs and got the ball rolling in no time. Chelsea was fantastic to train with and knew how to work with dogs coming from abuse in their past. So far the dogs are loving their new found freedom and just in time for the warm weather where they can sun-bathe to their heart’s content.

This company was very professional, punctual and friendly. They did a great job of communicating when the product would be installed, how to use the product and continually checked in with me to see if modifications need to be made. When I asked for some adjustments to the system, they responded immediately and had the modification done within days of my request. Highly recommended!

After researching several different companies, and comparing services and quotes, we settled on Dog Guard. The business owner, Heather, was very accommodating and spent valuable time explaining everything to us. From the time we made our initial inquiry, she had us scheduled for an at home consultation, and installation within 4 days. I felt she simplified what to expect from the installation and dog training, and didn't upsale anything not needed. Since installation, she continues to stay in touch and is always responsive when we reach out to her. Very happy with our choice.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Heather, Chelsea and Sarah worked together to train our puppy and us, to make sure we all understood how to best use this equipment. Our 4 month old puppy figured it out quickly, and two weeks later can run around the back and front yard freely. They provided us with all kinds of effective tricks to make the training process quickly and easily. There was no waiting period - they installed and trained one week after the sales visit. They came back within two days to provide a little extra front yard training, and demonstrated how to use the indoor system to keep him from going up dangerous steps. We highly recommend this company!

They were extremely professional and great to work with. They explained what they were doing, how the fence worked and how the dog would react during training. They were wonderful during the dog training and explained how I should handle the ongoing training.

Wires from power source inside garage come out of siding from pvc pipe. When noticed by me, the owner, all they did was put caulk in pvc pipe opening. Furthermore, when dredging wire towards sidewalk at garage, they cut sprinkler line, and when brought to their attention, they argued the water line was not placed low enough and was not their fault. Upon further discussion around water line, they said they would pay half and asked who the irrigation company was to work out the pricing on the fix. I had work done to fix it and they have not paid anything to fix the water line they damaged. Perimeter fence is working but experience was not worth recommending or going back to get work done again.

I can't say enough about how great the service was! Training was excellent and Heather returned when needed to make adjustments for my one dog. Installation was quick. I was amazed at the amount of yard the fencing covered for the price. I did my homework and Dog Guard had the best customer feedback and the best price. I'm amazed how quickly the dogs learned and so very pleased with the exercise they are now getting because of this purchase. Wish I had done this years ago!

great, she came out next day and diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The cable was corroded, she replaced it, and tested it, works great.

One dog learned to charge through the fence unscathed and fearless. Heather was responsive to my calls and came immediately. I appreciate her ability to have empathy and understanding with the owner's feelings and concerns. All 3 dogs are safe, seccure, and respect the fence now.

The work went very well. They came out the next day to survey the job and provide an estimate. The work was done in about a week. They took care of having the utility lines marked throughout the yard prior to installing the fence.

Heather was amazing. She understood our worries and worked with us. Installation was delayed due to snow, but as soon as she was able she installed the fence and showed us how to train our dog. She came back out and worked with us until we and our dog were comfortable with the fence. I would highly recommend Dog Guard Ohio to anyone who really cares about quality and customer service.

In addition to the above description of the service, we have been very happy that we went ahead with the Dog Guard fencing and training. We have a very large yard that sits well back from the road in an undeveloped area, but our partially grown puppy had reached the "teenage" era of his life and decided it was OK to wander and not necessary to come back for long periods of time. Some of that wandering was taking him increasingly closer to the road and nearest houses, not to mention other dangers of the area such as coyotes. Since the fencing was installed, he has only gone through two times, both in the first two weeks (chasing squirrels), including one time he tried to stop by the driveway and slid through on ice. With lots of wildlife around, he has gone chasing and barking around the inside perimeter of the fence many times but stays respectfully within. One time recently, he even stayed inside the fence while he had an animated "conversation" with a fox outside the fence! We have taken off the receiver collar a couple times and tried to bribe him through the fence at our driveway entrance to take him for a hike in the adjacent drive and fields and he solidly refuses to pass through even to get a large dog biscuit. We can leave him outside with confidence now and trust he'll stay within the confines of the yard.

Went extremely well. Heather installed and trained the dogs within two days of meeting with her. Came back multiple times to continue training and adjust fence strength. Very responsive.

Heather and her daughter came out on May 2nd and installed the invisible fence.  After the installation (on the same day), she proceeded with training my dogs with audible training only and gave me instructions on the training and on the equipment.  She then came out in a week and worked again my dogs to make sure they would be okay with changing the transmitter with a correction shock in addition to the audible sound.  She spent over an hour working with me and my dogs and answered any questions I had.  I feel confident that if I need her assistance and advice in the future, she would be prompt with her communication.

I felt the price was very fair and it would be well worth the cost.

Heather provides outstanding customer service -- not just in making that original sale -- but after that big purchase.  She makes herself readily available by cell phone and responds to text messages quickly.  Within 2 days of our initial contact Heather visited our home and supplied an estimate.  She was back the next day to install the system -- which all went perfectly.  She successfully trained our dog -- and since then he has not challenged the borders of the property.  Our puppy outgrew the original small collar we had used so we texted Heather -- and she sent us the next size up at no charge -- we got it 2 days later!  When we moved the transmitter to the new collar we must have not tightened one of the posts well enough. When we discovered that a post was missing we texted Heather and she again sent the replacement part - free of charge - no questions asked.  Our experience with Dog Guard has been unequivocally positive.  We would highly recommend their services.  It is rare to find a company that is as responsive to small requests that make little profit as they are to that initial inquiry where they make a living.
