"Perfectly-Rich (owner) has done numerous jobs for me at a rental property, all have been great jobs. He truly cares about your budget and staying within his quote. I do not even consider calling anyone else when I need a job. He is the best!"
"He came out the same day I called to give an estimate he was very friendly and professional. he had to order the parts. he kept in contact letting me know when the pats were ordered, when they came in and when he picked the siding up. We ran into some rain delay, but once again the handyman kept in contact letting me know he wouldn't be able to work that day and when he would finish the job. He accidentally hung the awning to low, but he came out that night to take it off so I could get in and out my house he came out the next day and not only fixed the awning problem but replaced the siding that had holes in from the screws. I will definitely be keeping this handyman number in my phone and will recommend him to anyone looking for a handy man "
"They just showed up and did the work and everything I had on my list was copleted. I asked them a couple questions about landscaping and they took care of everything."
"WOW - OVER AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I called in my ac Sunday around noon and job was complete within 24 hours! I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty - and Sheri Lane."
Yes, a home builder or contractor should have the proper licensing and insurance. Licensing requirements vary by state and municipality, but most states mandate that a builder holds at least a general contractor’s license. For specialized work such as plumbing, electrical, roofing, or sewage systems, individual licenses may be required, in which case the builder may subcontract the work. You can use Angi’s state licensing tool to review your local guidelines and confirm a builder's credentials. As you browse professionals, you can also look for the “Angi Certified” badge. This indicates the business meets our certification standards, which include passing a criminal background check, holding applicable state and local licenses, and maintaining an average rating of 3.0 or better.
Craftsman-style homes are predominantly found in the Western United States, specifically in Southern California, where the style originated. Since the climate was mild and there was access to plenty of natural resources, Southern California became a hub for this style at its inception. That being said, if you consult with an architect near you, you can have a Craftsman-style home anywhere.
Check reviews, compare quotes, and verify licensing. Ensure the builder has experience with modular construction.
Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.
Green homes are often more expensive to build, averaging around $200 per square foot compared to the $150 per square foot you’d spend to build a standard home. However, green homes can save you money on your utility bills by consuming less energy or creating energy using solar panels or wind turbines on-site. They’re more expensive to build, but they often end up costing less in the long run.
