"Very well. Was pretty much a straight forward kitchen faucet rep replacement with old and new being same model. Tech was very courteous and did a very good job cleaning up and replacing everything under the sink when he was done"

"Referred by old neighbor so I was more patient with this company because of the referral. First I got a verbal quote from Dave the owner. It seemed low. I asked if he could get me written quote. He affirmed and would drop off. He never followed up. Two months later I asked again and suggested he revisit the scope of the project to be sure he detailed all that I was requesting. He provided a handwritten quote this time that was almost double. I think his first verbal quote was in error and this quote while double was fair in having gotten other quotes. He inquired about quoting the installation of a new hot water heater. I told him that if he wanted he could add the installation of a water heater I provide, but that I already had a contractor arranged. He indicated he preferred using a water heater he provides. I said quite it both ways just in case my current contractor falls through on that but I’m not expecting that to happen. He provided a separate line item quote to install a water heater he provides. I said I would like to have him do the job but I wouldn’t be having. him do the hot water heater. He was not able to get me on his schedule for 3 weeks. I was disappointed as I already had been without plumbing for 2 weeks. I still moved forward with him as I respected the person who referred me to him. Two (2) business days prior to starting (after i agreed to wait 3 weeks to start), he emails me a new quote total that included the price quoted to provide and install the hot water tank but he was not including the hot water tank or install but still charging me for it! He also did not reference the permit he was to pull and said I would be responsible for any fines associated with the plumbing even if he was at fault. . I spoke to him and he said the permit is included. He said I could revise the quote as he doesn’t have time. I revised the quote for him to reviews. I added in that the quote included permits & inspections. I referenced in the quote that it does not include the hot water tank & installation. I deducted the price for that as referenced the hand written quote. The contractor then said I had to accept. the new quote he did as is. Without the water heater/install but still paying for it. Without the permits but still paying for it. I had to agree to pay fees and fines associated with his errors if applicable. He told me he can’t do the project now. I can not recommend a contractor who is so unprofessional, doesn’t follow through, changes the quote days prior to starting Adding $2300 to a $5600 quote is insane. Backing out at the last minute is not right. The person who sent him business from me is a huge plumbing supplier in Perrysburg. Why would he burn that bridge?"

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Avoid flushing non-degradable items, schedule regular inspections, and address minor clogs promptly.

That pungent rotten egg smell coming from your drain is likely the buildup of biofilm—hair, skin, and soap scum that turns into a black sticky mess. In this case, pouring down near-boiling water, baking soda, and white vinegar will remove the smell. Keep in mind that a rotten egg smell is occasionally a sign of larger sewage line clogs and other related issues.

Clearing typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on the blockage size and location.

A sewer cleanout typically looks like a white or gray PVC pipe with a removable cap. It's often located either in your yard or basement, depending on your home's plumbing configuration. The cleanout pipe is designed to provide easy access to your sewer system for maintenance and inspections. It may be flush with the ground or slightly elevated, making it distinguishable from other pipes. When you remove the cap, you can access the sewer line directly or determine its direction, which can be helpful when you need to locate your sewer line from your house to the street.

If you’re not using a septic system, problems with your home’s plumbing won’t cause this—it’s a city problem. A large blockage in the municipal sewage lines may cause those lines to back up into your home. This is extremely unpleasant and can be a serious health risk due to bacteria and other contaminants. If this occurs, call a pro (or your city) immediately.
