"Overall the crew was very skilled at painting. They did the trim around the front door and T111 siding very well, but there was a problem with communication between Nathan, the person who seemed to be in charge, and the painting crew. We, the homeowners, were often put in the position of having to get the crew to do what we wanted and met with some resistance and irritation. Nathan and I had agreed that the new Pella windows and new Pella back door were not to be painted, but the rest of the house was supposed to be. But when we tried to get the crew to paint a side garage door they resisted because it was not specifically on the work order. It should have been because Nathan and I discussed it. Nathan said he would see that it would get done, but it never was. The back basement window also wasn't painted. In addition, there were also numerous scratches put on our gutters by the painters' ladders, but when I asked them to fix them they said they didn't put them there. The power washing could have been done more carefully. The power wash crew showed up over two hours late, but didn't call to say they were still coming. When they arrived they seemed in a rush. Later I had to remove dirt from the deck myself before they stained it. It came off easily. The tops of the gutters were not cleaned during power washing; I was under the impression the tops of the gutters were to be cleaned. Many plants got overspray on them from the power wash and haven't fared too well. Many others were later painted or walked on. On the positive side, when asked they repainted some areas on the stucco. Also, they came back and painted the stucco under the deck, the vents on the side of the house near the roof, the sides of all the trim, caulked a few cracks, and put our lights back up. All of these things were done well. We also asked to have two small holes in the stucco patched. The crew leader said they don't patch stucco, just caulk wood, which is probably accurate. Within minutes of the deck painting being finished it rained. The manufacturer of the paint used says 24 hours of dry weather are needed after painting. We are concerned this may lead to problems, and Prim gives only a 90-day warranty on deck painting. In all, make sure the contract includes all that is agreed upon, especially how plants will be protected, what is to be painted and what isn't, and what is to be repaired. Also, review with the crew what is to be done. For instance they patched a board instead of replacing it as stated on the work order, but later replaced another board to make up for it. **Update On Service** I met with Nation, the owner of Prim Painting on August 2nd, 2016 to review the work that was done. I shared with Nation that I was disappointed that the contract called for Sherwin Williams Super Paint or equivalent, but I was given Sherwin Williams A-100, which is $14.00 less a gallon and does not cover as well or last as long, according to Sherwin Williams. Rather than have the crew come out again, I painted my own side door, washed and painted the gutters, the basement windows and patched a few small holes in the stucco and repainted them. For this, Nathan refunded $300. Be very care to get everything in writing on the contract, so there will be no disagreements later"

We appreciated that Jamie took care to protect the dense perennial gardens that are in front of the deck skirting to minimize possible damage. He also did some touch up work on the chimney.
