Your fast & reliable plumber can fix any plumbing problem, including sump pumps, toilet repair, faucet repair, faucet replacement, garbage disposals, water heaters, bathtubs, showers, and outside faucets. Roto-Rooter is best known for drain cleaning & sewer cleaning. We fix drain clogs, clogged toilets or sinks, blockage of main sewer lines, slow draining shower and bathtub drains, sewer lines and leaking or burst pipes. We also specialize in water damage restoration & water cleanup services. We can fix and clean up your flooded basement too. Roto-Rooter is a 24-hour plumber near you and provides emergency service.

"They were able to come out quickly to assess the issue, then schedule the work. The work was performed quickly, but they did have to come back and fix the drainage issue, as they had set the drain as one of the high spots in the basement, not the lowest. So, while it works, it looks odd and I’ve got a drainage tube in a weird spot."

Founded in 1954, we are a growing family owned and operated business headquartered in Warren County, Ohio. Now in the second generation of the DeHart family, we are still locally owned and operated serving the entire Southwest Ohio communities for more than 61 years! We are successful because we love what we do! We answer our phones and pride ourselves in taking excellent care of our customers. Our service technicians and staff are all certified by the industry’s leading authority, National Association Wastewater Technicians (NAWT). We believe in training and education and like to keep our customer informed about their septic system. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We recycle all of the wastewater received so this eliminates any trip charges for you, our customer. Give us a call, you will be glad you did!

"They called to say they were on the way; arrived right on schedule. They pumped out the tank and said the tank was in good shape. A problem was found with the line coming from the house - totally unrelated to the septic tank. They did as much as they could do, but recommended hiring a plumber to come in and scope the line with a camera. I have arranged for this to be done in the next week or two. The two men from AAA Wastewater were very helpful, and courteous! I would definitely hire them again and will be happy to recommend them to others needing septic service! The bill was less than I expected! I am extremely pleased with the service from this company! The total price included a senior discount, which was offered without my asking!"

"I was very pleased with all aspects of Heeter Plumbing. They were very efficient and professional. They replaced my outside faucet, which hadn't been usable for several years after freezing one winter, and installed the water heater both in one day. Unfortunately after trying a couple of different things, the tub faucet which had just a trickle of water coming from it, was was unable to be fixed the first trip. Another company tried to fix the same problem earlier in the year, but I ended up experiencing the problem again and worse. After getting a separate estimate for the problem job, another time was set to complete the work. Upon arrival, they tried several things again to see if they would work before actually going through with the most expensive solution. They had to cut an access panel through a bedroom wall to get to the pipes to replace them. They did a great job with clean up. The estimate price was right on target. After they were finished, water filled the tub faster than it ever has in the 21 years I've lived in the house. After several months later, it's continuing to work just as well. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!"

"Highly Disappointed/Dissatisfied. 8/18/21 had hot water tank replaced by Merrell Plumbing tech. Paid $1536.16 9/5/21 have water dripping down the wall and on to the floor. Discover it’s coming from a hot water pipe and call Merrell back for emergency service to repair. Paid $500.85. 9/8/21 talk with Mark about my concern that the leak was coming from the same pipe that connects to the hot water tank that was replaced a couple of weeks earlier. Coincidental? Maybe/Maybe not. I asked Mark, as a good faith gesture, if an adjustment could be made (i.e. that I pay the regular labor rate vs. the emergency labor rate) as I believe the leaking issue could have been related to when the hot water tank was replaced as the tech would have had contact with that water pipe. Mark’s responses: “There was some corrosion on the pipe so no adjustment will be made” (my attempts to say that perhaps the tech working on the end of the pipe contributed to the leak happening were dismissed). “I made the decision to schedule the emergency call on Sunday and not wait until Tuesday when the office was back open”. That was correct but I had water coming down my wall. “I could have turned the water off”. That was correct but having no water for several days was not a viable option for me and my family."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

A sewer line should be cleaned at least once every 18 to 22 months. The process takes about 30 minutes or up to 5 hours, depending on the size of the line, how easy it is to access, and how long it’s been since the previous cleaning. If your sewer line hasn’t been cleaned in a couple of years or you don’t even know the last time it’s been cleaned, it’s time to call a pro.

Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.

Most blockages can be cleared in 1-3 hours, but severe issues may take longer.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

Anywhere from 18 inches to 8 feet deep. Your depth depends on soil and weather conditions in your area. If you live in a colder region, your lines are likely to be deeper than the lines of those living in warmer regions. Contact your local sanitation department or wastewater control board to get the plans for your system and find out for sure how deep your sewer lines are buried.
