"The team did an amazing job! They were able to squeeze us into their schedule very quickly! They showed up on time everyday, they worked very quickly and efficiently to get the job done! They went above and beyond to make everything look amazing! We have a very old house and a lot of things are uneven. Josh and Jess did an outstanding job of making the room look brand new! We couldn’t be happier with the work they did on the walls and ceiling! They were very diligent in cleaning up each day after their work was done! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I can’t wait to continue our home remodel with these guys! We will definitely have them back to help make our dreams a reality! Josh’s attention to detail is outstanding!"

"Did an excellent job, taking care not to mar interior or exterior finishing trim. Had great communication and follow-through in scheduling and completing the job around our crazy schedule. Especially like knowing that the guy we talked to and booked the work with is the same one that returns to do the job. Pleased with entire project, so we asked him for an estimate for floors and complete kitchen demolition and renovation. Very happy with the layout, materials and price quoted and are proceeding with the project. Will post results when finished."

"We called the company for an estimate, they responded that day. We scheduled a visit to review the job and they showed up the next evening. Once we agreed to the price, they scheduled the work to be completed the following week. The owner called me every afternoon to let me know when he would be arriving the next day and the crew was on time every day. They were professional and courteous. Using tape, plastic and cotton tarps, they protected the areas that were exposed to possible damage. They completed the project in 3 days. Their work quality was outstanding. The walls and ceilings came out wonderful and they even left us a 1 gallon can of primer for the wall that didn't work on. I would definitely recommend this company."

"They did a great job in all areas.  Everyone was friendly and considerate, worked hard to complete the projects on schedule, and took pride in the quality of work.  When a floor tile eventually came loose in a high traffic area, they came back and reinstalled it at no charge.  We felt like the work was very good quality and they stand behind it.  We will definitely use them again.

Popcorn Ceilings questions, answered by experts

Popcorn ceilings have fallen out of popularity for several reasons, though opinions on them can vary. The primary drawbacks include an outdated appearance, difficulty with cleaning and maintenance, and potential health risks, as ceilings installed before the 1990s may contain asbestos. As design trends have shifted toward sleeker, more modern finishes, many homeowners now prefer smooth ceilings for their clean look and easier upkeep. However, popcorn ceilings do offer some benefits, such as excellent acoustic properties for noise reduction and the ability to hide imperfections. Some also appreciate their retro charm or find them to be a cost-effective solution. Ultimately, whether they are "bad" depends on personal preference, safety concerns, and aesthetic goals.

No, not all popcorn ceilings have asbestos, but a vast majority do. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) banned its use in 1973, although it still may have been used up through the early ‘90s. But, in general, homes built or remodeled before the early ‘80s likely utilized materials with asbestos. That being said, a professional test is the only way to determine for sure.

Smooth ceilings create a modern, clean look that helps brighten rooms by reflecting light, making spaces feel more open. They're easy to paint and maintain but can show imperfections. Textured ceilings add character and hide flaws like cracks or uneven drywall. With a range of patterns, you can opt for a subtle texture or something more decorative. The choice between smooth and textured ceilings comes down to your personal style and the look you want for your space.

Professionals handle heavy lifting, proper disposal, and recycling, reducing environmental impact.

The average popcorn ceiling removal costs around $2,000, but prices can range from $950 to $3,100, depending on the size, accessibility, and whether or not there’s asbestos or lead paint.

We don’t recommend DIYing this project to save money, but you can DIY the prep work to speed things up. Consider removing furniture, ceiling lights, and other fixtures before the workers arrive on site. To be extra helpful, cover any remaining belongings with plastic tarps and secure them with tape.
