The entire experience was great from start to finish.  They are very professional, on time and do excellent quality work. We will be replacing our interior doors soon and Stickler Home Improvement will definitely be back to do it.

The owner, Jeff Stickler an assistant and completed the job in a short two day period taking the time to answer all questions and cleaned up after the job was complete. They removed and replaced all baseboards as well as existing tile prior to installation. They removed all debrie and trash and did a wonderfuly job. I would highly recommend him to any friends or family and would definetly use them again.

I hired Stricker Home Improvement to install ceramic flooring in my bathroom and kitchen about a week before the Christmas holiday. I was told the job would take 2 days. Midway through the job, I was told that it would take an extra day. No problem. Jeff Stricker & his crew were late showing up one day. After calling their office, I was informed that Jeff was "sick". (I say this because after reading additional reviews on Angie's List, Jeff was often a NO-SHOW for other jobs.) I informed the office that this was unacceptable as Christmas was fastly approaching and my house was a mess.  Speaking of the mess, there was no nightly clean up of tools or materials.  They left pop cans on top of my refrigerator, knee pads, buckets and tools scattered across the kitchen floor and other items on and under my dining room table.  I had to move their things in order to access my kitchen.  They removed the toilet from the master bath, but didn't perform any work in that bathroom until the next day.  And lucky for me, they left the toilet right next to my bed for the night instead of putting it back in the bathroom so it could be used!  When I refused to accept that Jeff was truly sick, him and his crew showed up about an hour or so later.  Jeff refused to speak to me.  He repeatedly left my front door open,thus letting the heat out.  (He did not do this the other days.  He clearly now had an attitude and showed a blatant lack of respect for my house.)  This entire experience was a nightmare and I couldn't wait for it to be over.  I would NEVER hire this company ever again!

The work was excellent. They were very good, prompt, and reasonable. The gentleman left the area clean and did a great job.

Overall the service/quality was very good.  I requested estimates from several businesses but Stickler (Jeff)  was the only one that responded within a day or 2 of my request.  Jeff came by the house, looked at the fence, and provided a quote.  He also brought a color/swatch sample of colors to choose from and explained the stain and paint process from start to finish.

A contract/work order was written up and in 2 days the job was complete. A great stain and paint job.  I really appreciated his ability to paint my deck without getting any on the surrounding stones and house.

Jeff did a great job as to staining my fence.  A shadow box style fence is similar to having 2 fences - boards on each side.  He was able to stain all parts of the fence.

In preparation to sell my mother's home located in Phillipsburg, Ohio, I contacted Stickler Home Improvement of Union, Ohio, located near Phillipsburg.   I needed to sell the home as soon as possible as my mother is now living in a skilled care facility.   Jeff Stickler of Stickler Home Improvement was very easy to work with. He was considerate, well spoken and very accommodative.   The entire house was remodeled and updated inside and out. The best thing about it was . . . the house sold in only three months!   I was very satisfied with them and would use them again should the need arise.

A slow leak in the shower drain eventually caused damage to the floor and walls of our downstairs bath.  Jeff did a excellent reinforced repair of this that I don't think will leak again in my lifetime.  The tile work is excellent, and the in-floor heaters make it really nice in the winter!  Overall, his skills in every area of this project (tile, plumbing, drywall, paint, etc.) are very good - he's a h*** of a handyman and works for a fair price.  I've used him for other projects as well (flooring, deck), and these traits apply to those as well.  I would recommend him strongly based on these experiences.

A great experience
From day one, this husband/wife team and their crew were a pleasure to deal with.  Whenever we contacted them, Anissa was quick and responsive.  We were kept in the loop every step of the way, which gave us a sense that we were in good hands and made us feel in complete control of the project.

Jeff and Denny were great; always fun to be around which is a plus when it's a 3-week project.  The guys went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and the way we wanted it.  Our bathroom rebuild was a ton of work and they took care of everything with skill and professionalism.  By the end of it all, Jeff and Denny had turned our dungeon-like 1940s bathroom into a modern oasis of bliss.

Getting bids
Stickler Home Improvement was the first bid we got and after looking at a half dozen others, we came full circle and went with Jeff and his crew.  We're so happy we did!  Of the contractors we contacted, few called or got back to us when they said they would.  From the beginning, Jeff and his team were consistent in communicating and getting back to us quickly.  Jeff even gave us a line item bid, so we could decide where to make cuts to stick to our budget.

Punctuality, follow-through & professionalism
Right from the start, we knew we made the right decision.  The guys knew exactly what they were doing, they were on time and worked fast.  Jeff also kept a meticulous log of the crew's start and end times.  In short, Stickler Home Improvement consistently under-promised and over-delivered.

Were there problems?  If so, how were they solved?
The crew's work van was out of commission for one day.  Anissa called us early in the evening the day prior, so we knew ahead of time that there was an issue with the van.  She also kept us updated throughout the next day and confirmed in the evening that work would resume the following day.  Unexpected things will happen and the way this was handled reassured us that we made the right choice.

Going the extra mile
The guys were respectful of the fact that we were still living in the house and that the bathroom they were working on was the only one.  At the end of every day, they put the bathroom back together and made it useable-- throughout the entire remodel!  Also, three weeks after the job was completed we noticed a material fault in one of the faucets.  The guys came out the same day and replaced it, no questions asked!

Was the final price within budget?
In the end, our final price was within budget and lower than the other bids we received.

Did an excellent job, taking care not to mar interior or exterior finishing trim. Had great communication and follow-through in scheduling and completing the job around our crazy schedule. Especially like knowing that the guy we talked to and booked the work with is the same one that returns to do the job. Pleased with entire project, so we asked him for an estimate for floors and complete kitchen demolition and renovation. Very happy with the layout, materials and price quoted and are proceeding with the project. Will post results when finished.

Jeff gave me a verbal estimate of the work and materials needed and advised me a written one would follow. I received the written estimate a day later, with an approximation of when they could start. He stayed in touch, contacted me prior to starting and completed the work promptly. I would have no reservation in recommending him to others.

The floors that were originally carpeted were sanded and urethaned look fantastic. They fixed numerous flaws in the drywall prior to repainting the entire interior of the house. The kitchen needed a complete overhaul as it had all original fixtures. They did an amazing job as it looks excellent. The fit and finish is impeccable. I would be happy to share pictures if anyone would like to see the quality.

They were very professional during both the quoting and contract work with minimal interruption to our daily routines. The floor is amazing! Everyone that sees it just loves the material and looks. The entry door is expertly installed as it opens and closes perfectly. I will be using their services on future projects.

The job went great from start to finish, they even did some other wood replacement that was found during the tear off that was outside the original quote.

The work they had done was good. He was also very quick which helped me out a lot.

Great overall experience. Jeff did a great quality job and the cost was very reasonable. We had Jeff put in a very high end shower fixture so that is why the cost was $6500. I received several quotes from other companies and they were all significantly higher than Jeff's quote. Jeff completed the work on budget. Work was done in a quality manner. We are very happy with Jeff and will gladly use him again.

The project was actually divided into subsections, and took approximately (10) weeks to complete. Through the experience, Jeff worked with us to allow access to the affected area at the time (we had to live here while he was doing it). He was incredibly patient, as many changes were made mid-stream. There were not many quality-related issues that developed during the project, but those that did were taken care of expeditiously. The quality/value of the project was about as good as I could imagine as well (the cost I have listed includes materials).
