"Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"

I had no idea who installed them. I first called another place who refused to service them since they didn't install them. However, when I called Sophisticated Shades, they were more than happy to help. The owner, David Caldwell, came out and was able to easily fix the shades. He didn't even charge me for the service! Because of this, I decided to use them to install blinds in my newly built home (20+ windows). They were responsive, courteous, punctual, appropriately priced, and very professional.
