"They did a fantastic job. They were conscious of the marble pieces didn't like as well and used those in less conspicuous places. We had a decorative herringbone accent that looks amazing. I couldn't be more pleased with the result! I would definitely recommend them and use the next time we need tiling."

"The whole process was excellent.  I went to Lind to inquire about getting granite countertops in my kitchen.  Courtney explained the process and sent me to two granite suppliers.  Both were very good, but I was particularly impressed with Stone Mart.  They walked me through the warehouse and explained the difference between some of the stones.  In addition, when I went back to make my final decision, they were more than willing to move some of the stones around so I could see some that were hidden.  After choosing several different patterns, Lind sent me a very competitive bid.  Jason came out to measure the counters, and he was helpful and willing to take the time to explain several things to me.

The installation went well, but there were several problems with the old plumbing under my sink.  Mr. Lind stayed until everything was finished, including going out to purchase a disposal for me when we found a crack in my present disposal.

Everyone was very professional and helpful during the entire process.  I couldn't have asked for a better experience.  He kept apologizing for taking so long to install the sink, but I was just grateful that he was willing to see the job was done completely and correctly."

"Rob came for the estimate at the time he promised.  He was thorough in his estimate.  He recommended a tile store with plenty of selection.  Rob accommodated our unusual schedule.  We did run into a delay when Rob's previous job hit a snag due to that homeowner.  He quickly let us know and worked hard to get back to our job and finish as scheduled."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.

Popular options include ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass tiles, chosen based on the area (bathroom, kitchen) and desired aesthetic.

If you hire a professional to install a new floor, you can expect to pay between $50 and $75 per hour for labor. It takes two days on average to install a new floor as part of a bathroom remodeling project, but your timeline depends on your bathroom’s size and layout.
