About us

Price Heating & Cooling is a small 3rd generation family owned business that has been serving the Mahoning Valley for over 79 years. We specialize in the repair, maintenance, and installation of residential and light commerical heating, cooling, zoning, and geo-thermal systems. We have 14 employees with a combined 205 years of experience. We maintain licences in all communities, counties were needed, and through the State of Ohio. Our local licence numbers are available through the counties and our State licence number is 33376. We provide service on a flat rate basis and have a service fee of $65 for residential and commercial service. We offer 24 hour emergency heating service with a service fee of $98 evenings and Saturday and $130 Sunday and holidays. We offer a prepaid maintenance agreement for as low as $23 a month that includes service discounts and a loyalty program that accrues points towards new equipment, (2) equipment checks as well. This company was hired by the contractor that built our new home. We moved into the home in December so the Air Conditioning couldn't be tested to ensure it was cooling the new construction effectively. When the temperatures started getting warm 77 degrees and up this spring we quickly discovered that we had a problem and the AC did not work as it should. After several interactions with the contractor which played middleman between us and the company we only got "it's working as it should". My Air Conditioner ran for 8+ hours non-stop in hot days, never reached shut off temperatures, upstairs rooms were 7-8 degrees warmer, never getting below 74-75 at night. We had to buy extra fans to try and keep our children cool enough to sleep. After a long battle we had the unit replaced by another company that has solved this issue. I now have a new 2.5 ton AC sitting in the garage. The owner was very rude throughout this entire process so we moved on and had another company resolve.

The technician was very prompt, courteous and thorough. Ditto the point of contact for the company. Absolutely no complaints with their professionalism. The prices quoted, though, were outrageous. To recharge the system with refrigerant, the first pound was $85 and following pounds were $65 each. The leak diagnostics were quoted at $300 and the needed repairs were $500+. This was for a 3 1/2 year old system that has been maintained. None of this was in writing since we didn't receive a written estimate, but were told it would be mailed to us, which wasn't very helpful considering we're heading into warmer weather this weekend. Our second estimate was far more reasonable and was completed the same day. So A+ for all the personal details. D- for their estimated charges. :(

What amazed me the most is that I have a very hot attic. I didn't think they would get the ac to run up to the attic but they did and it feels cool there now. The ladies that pick up the phone are very polite and professional.

Tim was very nice, punctual and explained everything going on with our boiler. He was up front about repair costs and worked quickly and efficiently. Everyone in the office was friendly and very responsive. When parts came in, they immediately scheduled Tim to come make the repairs. If we need any additional services, Price will be our 1st choice. Got everything repaired just in time for the cold winter nights. I would highly recommend this company.

WOW! just WOW... If you need a old furnace brought back from the dead, call Price Heating in Girard! Mike the technician went above and beyond! He diagnosed the problem and had us up and running in mere hours. Would totally recommend PRICE heating to anyone with old furnace needs .

Mr. Krenciprock came out to inspect both of our furnaces after having issues with gas supply to our home. He was very professional and friendly. He verified that our burners are working as expected and the problems we are having are due to gas supply. Showed my husband how to reset the furnaces in the event the gas fluctuates again.

Sales representative was very up front and thorough answering all of our questions without hype. He discovered the original instal did not include a liner in the chimney which had been the mysterious cause of some interior wall moisture damage. So plans were made for this as well. Work was completed on the scheduled day. Workers were very considerate and careful. A good experience. Would recommend highly.

Professional, punctual, good advice with a written report. I had work done on the main furnace after the inspection, it needed the motor to be pulled and cleaned. The 4-seasons room furnace was inspected and passed. I rescheduled for warmer weather to have the central air conditioning inspected. Both visits were the same, professional, punctual and detailed. I was so happy with the service on the initial visit I signed up for the annual inspection/service contract. Calling the office receives the same grade "A+". Courteous, responsive to questions, exceedingly helpful. A breath of fresh air when seeking professional contract services for the home!!

My experience with them is positive. I can't quantify price because I don't have experience with other providers and what they would charge for similar services provided. I couldn't honestly provide a grade for price. They impress me as being very professional.

Very well. We went with the "top of the line" Carrier Infinity System..The installers were very very good. They paid close attention to detail, and did nice custom sheet metal work. It wasn't cheap,but we are very happy with how our new system works and the quality of their work.

They have been good. They are timely. We were very satisfied with them, relatively timely and price wise I can not complain. The guy that came out could not fix it the first day because it is not a part they carry because they do not typically work on our brand of furnace.  They found the part from someone else. Got the part out the next day, relatively early in the day and got our furnace up and working. Good tenacity, he stuck with it and did the job all the way through.

They ensured the cleanliness of my home by placing mats on the floors and wearing protective covers over their shoes. Installation was seamless and cleanup was impeccable.
