Customers say: Terrific value

We build garage, outbuildings, decks, patios, additions and remolding are the primary projects we do. As a company we want to help you build value in your home or project. We don't view you as a number we view you as a number like some companies do, we want you to come back for all of your needs in the future. We have over 30 yrs of experience in meeting customers needs and will be around for +30 more.

"Things started great with Jene. Fair price, the deck design we wanted. We hired him. Impressed with day 1 and 2 of construction. Then things slowed. Final project took longer than anticipated, but we were willing to overlook that. The problems came when we expressed some safety concerns. The gate he installed is falling off. The main railing is very flimsy. Someone could easily break through it simply by falling into it. This is a raised pool deck. Gene came and looked at it. He didn’t let us know he was here. He didn’t even text or email after that fact. I saw him leaving, which is the only way we even knew he was here. He told us it’s fine. The wood would swell and it will be safe. We’ve had professionals look at the job, and they too agree; it’s not safe. No surprise, Jene is no longer listed on here. Please save yourself the time, money and headache, and avoid working with Jene Jacobi from All Phase Construction"

We are part of a business that deals in a large array of construction fields. Firelands tile is our tile and flooring department. Jason is the person who you will be dealing with concerning this department. We do not subcontract the work out to other companies. Typically we will print a contract, go over it and if necessary make changes in order to keep both sides happy and usually expect 50 percent at the start of the job and the remaining at the end, unless it's a larger job ,in wich case we will work out a draw procedure. We are part of an employee owned company .

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

If your budget can stretch to it, opting for porcelain tile over ceramic tile makes sense if you need something hard-wearing for a busy, moisture-retaining space. However, the cost of installing ceramic tiles is less expensive. They’re a little softer and easier to work with, making them a good choice for small, decorative DIY projects.

Installing new ceramic tile can certainly boost your home’s resale value—especially if you’re replacing old or dated flooring. In fact, adding a new bathroom floor delivers a 56.4% return on investment (ROI). In some cases, though, this project can offer as much as 100% ROI. Not only can fresh ceramic tile give your home a more modern look, but it’s also water-resistant and easy to clean, which most homebuyers appreciate.

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.

Tiling over your existing backsplash is possible with the right materials and preparation. To do this, the existing backsplash must be clean and free of damage. If you’re installing the new tiles with thinset mortar, the thinset will fill in the existing grout lines as you go, so there won’t be any low spots. If you’re installing a peel and stick tile backsplash, you’ll need to add grout to the existing grout lines first to create a level surface.

The rule tells you how to cut tile to install it in a corner. The 3/4/5 rule recommends that you should have 3 feet across on one straight line, four feet on the other perpendicular line, and 5 feet of length from the end of one of the lines to the other. You’re making a right triangle with the tile, and the hypotenuse (the line across from where the 3-foot lie and 4-foot line meet) should be 5 feet long.
