"HICON was very prompt and professional from the first appointment to go over what needed to be done, to providing the estimate to the repair itself.  Their price was competitive with other well-qualified contractors.  I had one quote which was for 1/2 of the HICON price, but the individual was non-commital about trying to match the mortar and was not nearly as thorough in reviewing the work to be doen.  I interviewed several vendors who provided an array of advice, not all of which was consistent.  I selected HICON because their advice followed best practices within the industry; they committed to match the 20 year old mortar in terms of style and color; and their price was almost identical to the other vendor who seemed very conscientious and came well-recommended.  Matrching mortar color was very important as I probably had 40 feet or so of cracked mortar on the front of the house.  I did not want to see some zig-zag pattern of different colored mortar anywhere on the house, and especially on the front.  Their team arrived on the appointed date.  They took their time and finished in about a day and a half.  I was pleased that they did not rush the job.  They were very courteous, friendly and professional. They not only matched the color of the mortar, but the style with which the original mortar was applied.  After the job was completed, HICON followed up from their office to make sure we were completely satisfied.  I will dfinitely call them again for any future masonry repairs.
