Color Solutions

Went well. Some concern about product used, but seems to be weathering well. Took longer to set (dry) than expected due to rain. Contractor was punctual and did a professional job.

Used Color Solutions back in 2013 for a whole house interior painting and he did a good job.  Prices reasonable and he was personable.   There was a quite a bit of paint splatter that required post-painting clean-up on my part, but all in all I felt it was a successful experience and Kevin a skilled painter, who had been referred to me.
This time, left message a before Memorial day indicating I need some minor painting done.  Contacted me over a week later on 5/27 stating he was gone for the Holiday.  Said he wanted to come out in a few days to see what I needed and then provide a quote and then we'd schedule a date for the painting to be done.  He indicated he was not really busy right now and should be able to get me schedule for painting within the month..........(great!)  We left it flexible, but that he would be out within the next couple of days to quote the job and would call me ahead of time.   Never called.  Never came out.  I have since left him a detailed message several days ago asking that if he was too busy or no longer interested to let me know, so I can make other arrangements.  Never received even the courtesy of a return call.
Communication is an integral part of a any reputable business and avoidance of communication actually speaks volumes.

Kevin was extremely responsive and professional, while providing high quality painting in a very efficient manner for a good price. He helped with ideas on accent walls and color selections, and he adjusted his scope as we made new requests. We had some other work scheduled for the house in a tight window, so Kevin added painters to his team to make sure they got everything done in time for the next contractors to start - even overcoming snowstorms and car breakdowns to meet our deadline. He has great attention to detail (seems to be a bit of a perfectionist), but it doesn't slow him down. We were very pleased with the finished result in every room, and we enjoyed working with Kevin. We will use Color Solutions again, and we have no hesitation recommending Kevin to others.

It went great. They did a great job.  This was the second job.  They painted two remodeled bathrooms 6 months ago and did a very good job then too.  I highly recommend Color Solutions.

Mr. Johnson arrived at the scheduled time on Jan 11 to view the work area and give an estimate. We had purchased the paint which is reflected in the labor cost. Mr Johnson then returned as scheduled on Monday, Jan 14 , and completed the work the same day. He did a wonderful job from setup to completion and cleanup. He is very professional and respectful of our home. We will be hiring Color Solutions in the very near future and have already referred him to others.

So pleased.  Kevin responded quickly to my call for an estimate and my request for a before the holidays start date to paint multiple rooms, and several bi-fold closet doors.  He made an appointment to see what I needed to have done, walked through the house with me to go over everything, and left a paint deck  for me to choose my color. The estimate was emailed that same day, and included detailed information about the number of rooms to be painted, and that quality Sherwin Williams Paint would be used. They were able to start the job (and finish it) that same week.
Kevin and another painter arrived on time, and worked  as a team, from the moment they arrived.  They brought all necessary supplies and drop cloths to complete the job professionally. They carefully covered newly installed carpeting, and the furniture that remained in a couple of rooms.  They fixed nail holes, and repaired and sanded two poorly done drywall repairs that were done by a previous company.
All rooms were painted with 2 coats of paint, and I couldn't have been more pleased with how the rooms looked. Details that made a difference included caulking where needed, and caulking around where the Laminate counters met the walls, leaving the kitchen and bathrooms looking so much better, and more "finished".  They cleaned up after themselves, and ran a vacuum after picking up the dropcloths to remove any dust from sanding the drywall repairs.
I will certainly recommend Color Solutions to anyone needing painting done, and will be calling them for some additional painting I have planned in the near future.

Everything went great. Lowest bid of two, on time and very conscious of moving and setting up. Job was finished ahead of time for quote price. Even did some drywall repair at no additional cost. Absolutely, will use again!

Received a bid from Kevin on Monday and he began the job on Wednesday. By far the quickest response time I have found to date. He arrived when he said he would each day. We were very happy with the price and the quality of the work and materials used to complete the work. It was also a plus having someone doing the work we would actually trust inside our home without having the hover over them. We would absolutely suggest you give this company a chance to give you a bid for your project as they will not let you down.

I had some damage and discoloration on my house due to ice damage that the insurance company did not cover. My house is a bi-level with an English Tudor front on it, It is also one of the largest bi-levels built in the early 80s

Color Solutions presure washed the siding on the sides and back of the house. Then they painted the trip on the house, Painted the front Stucco, trim boards. They repaired the soffit that was damaged by ice and replaced the trip boards on the gable sides that were broken. They also added soffit vents to help with the air flow in the attic. 

They were professional, on time, and did a great job, the cost was well below any competitive price that i had gotten. The owner Kevin, also made suggestions on a couple projects that i was going inside my house. These were unsolicited, we were just talking about different things.

Great. Timely, polite and results were great. He didn't mind that it was a fairly small job, 1 day. We intend to call him back to remove wallpaper and paint another room.

It was very upsetting having a 10 foot board fall to the floor, luckily we and our animals were not injured. We called Kevin to see if it was something he could help us with. He immediately came over and fixed that board as well as securing the others. The remaining boards were also ready to fall. We were so happy he was able to take care of our problem and was willing to do it as quickly as possible.

Kevin did an excellent job. He painted the whole interior of our house. He showed when he said he'd be here. He used drop cloths and cleaned up after he finished the job. We were excited when we got his quote, we had thought we could just paint some of the rooms but at the price we did the whole house. We had spots where there were cracks in the walls, he fixed them all. When a few were particularly difficult and reappeared, he immediately came back to fix them. He tried a different method and repainted and while here he touched up a few spots where the movers scuffed the walls. How great is that!!!!! We not only would recommend him if someone asked, if we hear total strangers talking about needing painting, we give them Kevin's information, along with our glowing recommendation.

I had Color Solutions paint a large majority of the interior of my home.  The owner, Kevin Johnson, worked around our schedule request to work mostly on the weekends due to our home having small children there on weekdays.  He was prompt with getting me his estimate and began the work almost immediately.  He gave us an estimated timeline, and even though we changed color in one area and added office doors to paint, he still met the estimated timeline.  Kevin is a hard worker who pays attention to the details and I would hire his company again.
