"Joe contacted me right away after my service request. He was able to fit me in the same day for a stubborn clogged sink drain. He was responsive, prompt, and professional and fixed the issue quickly. The price was also reasonable compared to other companies. I would definitely recommend Drain Logics, and would use them again in the future."

"I had an excellent experience with Aquarius Master Plumbing and Heating. On a Sunday, I submitted a request through the Angie app for a leaking toilet seal that was allowing water to drip into my basement. They responded almost immediately and scheduled a technician for 8:00 AM the very next morning. Jason arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and completed the repair efficiently. It was obvious he was highly experienced—everything he did was second nature to him. He worked neatly, kept the work area clean, and took pride in his workmanship. On top of that, he was courteous, professional, and a true gentleman. From the prompt response to the quality of the repair, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to use Aquarius Master Plumbing and Heating again and highly recommend them."

"Gregg took a look at our old stone walled basement with minor water pooling. He quickly identified the problem areas, suggested an affordable solution and quickly installed a french drain around half the basement with sump pump. Excellent communication, speed and quality! Most importantly I didn't feel like he tried to up-sell me on anything that was not necessary."

"Kevan (spelled with an "a") was the only plumber who even called me back the day after Christmas. All these other companies that advertise 24/7 & Holidays emergency service did not even answer the phone. We lost power and our pipes froze in super cold weather we had Christmas 2022. In 32 years my pipes never froze but they did this time and they burst in multiple locations. Kevin called and came out the same day and worked into the night replacing multiple ruptures. He is extremely courteous and professional and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM for any plumbing or water treatment needs. Ken H., New Paltz, NY."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

It takes hair about two years to dissolve on its own in the drain without the use of any tool or help. Fortunately, using a drain snake, plunger, or any of the actions mentioned above to dissolve the hair will help get rid of the clog in as little as 15 minutes.

Baking soda and vinegar is a great solution for cleaning your sink drain; in fact, it’s our preferred method. Here’s how to unclog your drain with baking soda and vinegar: Pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar, and let the two bubble for 15 minutes. Then rinse out with boiling water. This method is much safer than using a chemical drain cleaner gel.

You should inspect and clean your French drain at least once per year to keep it in good working order. Regular maintenance can help identify clogs, buildup, and damage before they become bigger problems, which increases the lifespan of your drain. The frequency with which a drain clogs can depend on factors like the amount of debris, the quality of the installation, and the type of filter used. If your drain accumulates a lot of sediment, it may require more frequent cleaning. It's also a good practice to check the access and exit points after heavy storms. If you notice reduced drainage or any signs of a clog, clean the drain as soon as possible.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.

When you put baking soda and vinegar down the drain, they chemically react and help break down clogs. It’s not going to work for every type of clog, however. For example, it’s not the best way to get rid of grease buildup. For grease, you should try boiling water and white vinegar instead.
