"I can't even say enough great things about Lawncraft Solutions. We found them on a Saturday when we REALLY needed someone to come and clear out YEARS of leaves on our property. Braden came out, same day, and by Thursday, he and his team were on it. They performed nothing short of a miracle in their work. I mean: the difference they made is astounding. They are very reasonably priced, professional, knowledgeable (we are going to utilize their services for future yard projects (landscaping, mulching, etc), kind, and just a real great team to work with. Even our neighbors are commenting on what an awesome job they did. Thank you, Lawncraft Solutions... and for anyone considering them: you will be so happy you chose to work with them. Looking forward toany more projects with them."

"Sergio responded within minutes of my home advisor inquiry. He set up an estimate and evaluation within 90 minutes and he and his assistant were able to perform my required work later that afternoon. The required work on my gutters was performed, and I was briefed on a noted deficiency that will soon require attention. The work needed was a small maintenance necessity, did not take much time, and the price quoted and charged was acceptable! Sergio and crew were very professional, they briefed me on all aspects of the work performed. Granted, their response on this day was unique, but if I had to make an appointment, I surely would have. Yes, I would hire them again. Well done Marine!"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it’s better to remove rocks before adding mulch. Layering the two will restrict drainage and plant health, and can create an unpleasant texture underfoot.

While a rented dumpster can handle a wide variety of materials, there are significant restrictions on what is allowed. Generally, you can dispose of most non-hazardous household junk, yard waste, and construction debris.

Accepted items typically include:

  • Furniture, carpets, old linens, and toys

  • Wood and yard debris

  • Small appliances and excess trash

  • Renovation waste like old finishes, building debris, and roofing materials (unless they contain lead paint or asbestos)

However, you cannot put toxic, flammable, or hazardous materials in a dumpster. Prohibited items almost always include:

  • Paint, gasoline, oil, and other fuels

  • Household cleaners and other chemicals

  • Electronics, batteries, and tires

  • Refrigerators, hot water tanks, and medical waste

Since regulations can vary by location and company, it is essential to check with your dumpster rental provider for their specific list of accepted and prohibited items before you begin.

Most mushrooms found on residential lawns are harmless. Certain varieties such as destroying angel, fly agaric, and vomiter mushrooms that can grow in grass will occasionally make their way onto residential lawn, but this is uncommon. Since mushrooms can be notoriously difficult to identify, if you suspect that your lawn mushrooms could be a poisonous type, consulting a professional is recommended.

Post-dethatching, lawn recovery includes watering, fertilizing, and reseeding as necessary to restore health and promote growth.

It may sound icky, but yes, urine encourages microbial activity that breaks down organic matter faster. It’s rich in nitrogen, which helps balance carbon-heavy materials like dry leaves or straw. Use sparingly and apply it to a well-balanced pile, not one already high in nitrogen.
