"Anton did a very nice job cleaning and staining our log home. It had been neglected by the previous owner and needed a lot of work. He also replaced rotted siding on our barn, fixed some significant structural defects and stained it. A nice job and finished in a timely fashion. Anton was here supervising the job all the time. Would definitely hire again"

"Maurice and crew did a beautiful, outstanding job on my new deck - I couldn’t be happier. He and his crew were very reliable and professional- showed up daily, weather permitting, even during the hot days of this summer! I would not hesitate to hire them again for all my future home improvements! A+"

"Very happy with Joseph’s services. His estimate for pricing came in just slightly lower than other quotes. Very friendly, clear communication, showed up exactly when he said he would and completed everything on schedule. Also, very respectful of our home and cleaning up as they went along. Will definitely refer him to others and use him for future projects."

"We bought our home a few months ago, and I just want to say how much we?ve appreciated the way we?ve been treated. From day one, we felt like we weren?t just another sale. The team has been kind, responsive, and really there for us whenever we needed something. They truly care about making sure everything is right and that we?re happy. Mr. Shtienmetz is someone you can tell genuinely loves what he does. He?s involved, he listens, and he stands behind his work. It?s not just business for him, you can feel that he does this with heart. That kind of dedication is hard to find, and we?re very thankful for it. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home. If you want to work with people who truly care and stand behind what they do, you will be in very good hands."

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.

Choose a barn door with an extra two to three inches on either side of the frame. The width of the barn door will depend on the type and placement of your track, but in most cases, an additional inch or two will do the trick.

There's no simple answer to which is less costly: wood or metal-framed homes. In most cases, metal building components cost more than wooden ones, while entire metal buildings cost less than wooden versions. However, regardless of the exterior framing or structure, each must meet similar building codes. This means that the costs are about the same, even considering that wood will require more maintenance than metal over time.

The most significant expense when building a barndominium is constructing the metal shell, which includes the roof, doors, and windows. Additional exterior components impacting the overall cost include metal siding and the concrete foundation.

The most common slope, or roof pitch, for a shed is 4:12 or four inches of height for every horizontal foot. For areas that experience heavy snow loads, a steeper roof of 6:12 or 9:12 is best.
