"Miller and his colleagues were able to do a lot of things quickly. Along with everything else, they also grabbed some old furniture that I needed help moving to the curb. They took several cares to make sure nothing was damaged during the move, including wrapping the furniture, turning off all the lights, and packaging the picture frames."

"On Sunday (!!!) morning, Mark phoned me within minutes of my completing the online form. My responsibility was to clear my family member's apartment following her unexpected death. We met there an hour later, he gave the estimate, and said he would haul away and dispose of the items that were not in condition to donate, and would distribute the rest to the appropriate charities. He returned as agreed a few hours later and took everything away. He was professional, polite, and efficient: a true lifesaver in accomplishing an onerous task."

"I hired Jack Of All Trades to install floor joices and lay down plywood. They did a good job and the building inspector was happy as well. I also had them frame some walls. I plan on having them come back to roof my addition. Reasonably priced and had a good attitude throughout."

"Eddy was a joy to work with. He is very kind and very responsible. He had to make three trips to complete the job and every time that he returned, he returned with a smile and ambition to complete the job. I would recommend Eddy for a variety of tasks such as power washing, furniture moving and haul-away and specifically car detailing."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

The average cost of appliance removal is around $75 per appliance, but you could pay anywhere from $25 to $150, depending on a few factors. Some things that have an impact on the cost of appliance removal include the following:

  • Size of your appliance, with larger items costing more to haul away

  • Number of doorways or stairways the removal specialists need to navigate around

  • Distance from a proper dumping site

  • Presence of water lines or gas lines that need to be disconnected during removal

If you're already planning to hire an electrician and you know that you'll get billed the minimum call-out charge, you might as well make the most of it by having the contractor do another small job like replacing a light switch or electrical outlet. Even if you're paying for a new coaxial outlet, which costs several hours in labor, you may be able to save a little or maximize value by getting them to do other related jobs. For example, if you're having a coaxial cable moved, it's worth checking if you also need another electrical outlet in the new location or considering where else you would benefit from a new outlet . The cost to install an electrical outlet is around $200.

Several types of items aren't allowed in roll-off dumpsters. First of all, hazardous materials and hazardous liquids are a no-go. This includes asbestos, oil, wet paint and other materials. Other banned items include batteries, electronics with lithium batteries, propane tanks, tires, and appliances with refrigerants. Some areas have shifting requirements (for instance, certain locations do not allow mattresses), so check with your local regulatory agency.

Untreated lumber can be easily reused, recycled, or composted, depending on your needs and plans for future projects. If you’d rather get the excess wood off of your property, you can donate it to a lumber yard or reach out to neighbors and friends to see if they could use it.

Many contractors include debris hauling, or you can recycle concrete for eco-friendly disposal.
