As Matthew Smith said to us countless times, “We want you to be happy with the results.” One of our concerns was the removal of our Jacuzzi tub. Some contractors that we interviewed told us that our Jacuzzi had to be cut up and removed in pieces, creating extra dust, increased costs, and possibly increasing the risk of damages to our home. Matthew and Stephen removed the Jacuzzi in one piece without any damage or inconvenience to us. The walk-in shower that they installed to replace the Jacuzzi tub came out just as we were told. Matthew Smith’s tile work was phenomenal. We told him his tile work was artistic! You could tell he took the time to make everything just perfect, a sign of a quality contractor. Matthew and Stephen kept us informed every step of the way and we felt like this was a partnership. On a scale of 1-10, we would give them a 12! We were very pleased with the results and we would not hesitate to hire Matthew and Stephen for future projects. They both were honest and courteous, pleasant, careful, respectful and did an incredible job. What more could you ask for in a contractor?"

"I would never use him again. He says he has done this for so many years. Because I didn't let him come into my house, he was offended. He was supposed to fix the roof, not come in. I was just getting home. I thought he was going to go ahead and tell me what he had to do. But he wanted me to contract to do more work. I said, "Well, why don't you just go ahead and do the things that I paid for?" He said to me, "I'm not afraid to get up on the roof." "That's what I paid for. You're the roofer." I was outside, working. That was another problem. So I didn't come back in the house. I went around the front of my yard. He went up the ladder. I think I was on my knees and before I came back he was gone. So I don't know what he did up there. That was kind of upsetting. One good thing about the roofer that did the roof this time was, he stood in the yard, backed up in the yard and said, "Don't you know the shingles are missing right here?" Why didn't the other gentleman tell me that? So I wouldn't use him. I just don't trust him. He was friendly, just pushy. The price was great. But did I get what I wanted? I don't know. I don't think so. You can't work like that in five minutes. I told him to come at a certain time because I would be gone and he came before I got here. I would tell a friend that you have to sort of know what price it should be because for what he said needed to be done, he charged more for them than they really cost."
