Customers say: True professional

"The overall price was very reasonable for this job. Tylor and his team showed up on time, stayed on schedule, did everything they said they would do and cleaned up quickly. Most importantly they answered all of my questions before, during and after the work. Therefore educating me about this type of remediation and allowing me feel even more confident that we got a good deal and the job was being done right. If i had to be nit picky they could have removed all the staples in the basement but i honestly dont think any company is doing that."

"The owner, Josh Mattingly, was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, reliable, competitevly priced and gave great advice about preventing future mold problems. He used his special camera equipment to view enclosed spaces to find the source of moisture. He removed all the moldy paneling and drywall and employed drying machines overnight. I was glad that he didn’t have to remove structural wood beams or studs! The next day he sprayed the dried out, treated materials with a mold eating non-toxic, plant based spray then a protective mold resistant spray. Josh drove 50 miles each way to my home and did all the work himself. I would recommend Josh at JCM Green Home Solutions for mold remediation without reservation!"

"I hired Kascon to do asbestos abatement in my attic. I worked with Keith Carroll as my primary contact, he was outstanding. Keith was prompt courteous knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The back office crew was equally oppressive in assisting me with documentation billing etc. as were the gentlemen who showed up to do the abatement work. They were neat and meticulous, showed up when they said they were going to show and did a great job cleaning out not only the asbestos but contaminated wood and materials. Would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who needs asbestos abatement work done. Ask for Keith, you will not be disappointed."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Powdery mildew is exactly like it sounds—a widespread mold that looks like baking soda or talcum powder. It’s usually seen on plants and spread in warm climates, which is why many people first discover this issue in their home greenhouse. Over time, plants have become resistant, but if you see it spreading, baking soda and water can eliminate many cases. Otherwise, consider neem oil or fungicide.

No. When dry, mold enters a dormant state. While “sleeping,” the mold won’t multiply, but when it encounters moisture again, it springs back to life, releasing spores. That's why it's crucial to not only control humidity but also actively eliminate mold to prevent its resurgence and further growth inside your home.

Although both bleach and vinegar are effective in killing mold on wood, vinegar is generally considered the better option. Bleach is a potent disinfectant that can swiftly and effectively eradicate most types of mold on wooden surfaces. However, diluting it with water and using it in a well-ventilated space while wearing protective gear is crucial as it can be harsh and potentially harm the wood's finish or discolor it.

On the other hand, vinegar is a gentler and more natural alternative that can successfully kill mold, but it may take longer and require multiple applications for persistent infestations. Vinegar is a safer option that is less likely to cause damage to wooden surfaces, making it an excellent choice for delicate areas or when a milder approach is preferred.

Yes, mold can easily grow under your hardwood floors, especially if your house has recently flooded or if there is a leak from a pipe under the floor. Hardwood floors can trap moisture beneath them, creating the perfect environment for mold to grow. Similarly, mold can also grow under your wood floor’s surface paint.

Mold in air ducts releases spores into the air, which cause allergic reactions and respiratory issues. Common symptoms include coughing, sneezing, or itchy eyes. Prolonged mold exposure can lead to more serious health issues, especially for those with compromised immune systems.
