"This was the third time we used Therno Seal and again we could not be happier. The two prior times were to replace the windows in the house. The windows are awesome and Aaron will work within your budget. This business is family owned so there aren’t tons of calls and a pressure presentations to buy the top of the line product. Well this time we needed a new roof. I amazed how good this roof looks. It turned out that we needed teardown of the whole roof but that was ok because everything was laid out before hand of what can happen. .Aaron explains everything up front and is always available if you have any questions. When it came to work on the roof the head guy was Bob. He doesn’t just drop off a crew and leave. He stayed the entire time making sure the job was done the right way. The job was done in two days. You can tell Aaron and Bob take great pride in there products. If you want quality and good service give them a call. Working with them is like working with friends. Thanks again guys!! "The guy did an excellent job. I have no complaints. This was our 2nd window project and we really liked the windows we did 6 years ago so finished off the house."

"Emil from DuraGlass installed new glass on my windows. He was extremely professional, completed the work in a timely manner and neatly. I will definitely hire him for additional work. I highly recommend him."

"Window Genie did an excellent job. I knew my windows weren't clean, but WG did such a great job, my windows are shinning. The two men who did the work were great. They also clean my gutters and did another great job."

"I waited a while because they are backed up due to Covid but they were definitely worth the wait. They were precise, quick and extremely detailed. They put two windows in for me (where windows didn't exist before) and covered up a window. They insulated and everything. No painting but that was cool. I was very impressed. Definitely would recommend them and hire them again...and again....and again"

"Our bar cabinet mirror is phenomenal. Inspired by the weathered antique Gastropub look from Minetta Tavern, Diego brought this right to our living room. Clean lines, a sophisticated classic look and flawless craftsmanship ship. Couldn’t be happier - highly recommend."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can absolutely put a screen on a casement window, and most casement windows come with screens. Unlike with a double-hung, single-hung, or sliding window, the screen in a casement window sits on the inside of the window so that the sash can freely open outward. Screens are especially important for casement windows because the large window opening the window provides leaves your home more open to bugs and outside debris than most other types of operable windows.

Casement windows can either be left or right opening, and every window manufacturer makes both so that you can choose which works best for your space. In many cases, you’ll want one left-opening and one right-opening casement window to sit on either side of a picture window or to act as the side panels in a bay window. Just remember that the direction is described from the curb. An FCL (from the curb left) hinges out to the left if you’re looking at the exterior of your home, and an FCR (from the curb right) hinges out to the right.

Having a professional caulk your windows will cost you around $50 to $70 per window (or $1.25 to $4 per linear foot), including labor. However, caulking is one of the easiest DIYs there is, and you’ll save a lot of money by getting the supplies and doing it yourself. You’ll only pay $0.05 to $0.20 per linear foot if you DIY this one. Finally, different types of caulk don’t vary too much in price, with most tubes costing no more than $15 apiece (but typically only $3 to $10) at the most.

Common problems include broken latches, misaligned tracks, and worn seals. Regular inspection prevents major repairs.

Yes, storm windows should be tempered. According to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, tempered glass is stronger and can withstand temperatures higher than laminated glass. Tempered glass is important for storm windows because it protects against outside elements and household accidents by not producing sharp, jagged pieces when it breaks or shatters.
