"Matt did an excellent job. He arrived on time. He inspected the damage & explained how the repair would be done. He gave us a fair price, which we agreed to, and then got right to work. All surfaces were covered with tape, drapes & tarps so that our floors, counters and cabinets remained clean. The hole in the ceiling was repaired & new plaster was applied & textured. The entire job was completed in less than 3 hours. All tape, drapes & tarps were removed, all floors were swept, every surface was cleaned before Matt left the premises."

"Ray was the first to respond to my initial inquiry and he responded quickly. He gave us an estimate right away with a very fair quote. Ray and his crew were very polite and willing to work with us in whatever ways we wished. They were able to make all of the repairs we needed and did an excellent job. They kept their equipment picked up at the end of each work day. They made sure that we were satisfied with their work and asked frequently if we were happy with the job they were doing. Overall, it was an excellent experience working with Ray and his crew. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of exterior painting."

"My drywall was a mess after taking down 1970s-era foil wallpaper.  He skimmed my walls and made them look great!  He really wants the job to come out terrific, so once everything is put back into the bathroom (toilet, vanity, floor), he's going to come by to touch up any damage to the drywall caused by the installers.  His price was very reasonable, too.
It's hard to find a really adept drywaller.  If you're looking for someone to do your drywall, you've found your man!

"Both men were courteous. I was worried about the helper smoking in the house. There was no evidence of that happening. There was apparently some confusion about what was to be painted. Service Pro did Spackle work on the kitchen and family room ceilings, but only painted the kitchen ceiling. That just didn't seem to make sense. The kitchen ceiling is beautiful. The real issue is the lack-of-finish of the plaste work in the family room. An outside corner, which needed a metal edge replaced was badly crooked. I hit it twice to get it straight. I would have been ashamed to leave what they left, and I ma not the professional. (I did n"

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Hiring a professional wallpaper hanger is usually a worthwhile idea because, while the application of wallpaper itself is easy, getting the finished product to look good is complicated and takes a lot of practice and patience. A professional wallpaper hanger will not only be able to hang your wallpaper seamlessly, but they will also get an even application of wallpaper paste to avoid bubbling and imperfections immediately and over time. Plus, they can provide their professional opinion on whether to remove or wallpaper over an existing layer of wallpaper.

In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.

To remove pre-pasted wallpaper, you’ll need to wet the wallpaper or steam it to loosen the paste on the back of the wallpaper. Spray the paper with water, then let it soak for 10 to 20 minutes. From there, you should be able to peel off the wallpaper. Then, you may need to follow up with a cleaning solution and a scraper to remove any remaining wallpaper paste on the walls.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

Limewash can be removed from brick, but the method of removal will depend on how long the limewash has been on the brick. If the limewash has fully dried—which happens after about five days—you’ll need to use a diluted muriatic acid mixture to remove it. If there are multiple coats of limewash, you may need to apply the acid mixture several times to fully remove it from the brick.
