"A plumber from another company had been by my house and noticed that my well pump was rapidly cycling and gave me an estimate of around $3000 to replace one or two pressure tanks.  No other options were offered.   The job seemed simple and the materials not so expensive, so I thought that estimate was high.   I called various friends to see if they had a favorite plumber they'd recommend.  A realtor recommended Joe.
I called Joe that afternoon. He (1) answered his phone when I called him one afternoon.   He said he'd call back that night.   He didn't because he worked past 9pm, but (2) did call me the next morning and we set up a visit to deal with my well pump cycling frequently.   No long wait before I could get an appointment.  No inconvenient times.  No vague estimates of when he'd arrive even though it was a mid-afternoon appointment.
Today, on the day of the appointment, Joe called me 50 minutes in advance and said he was running early and wondered if I'd like him to come 30 min earlier than the appointed time.   He said he's rarely early like that, but he was today.
Joe (3) showed up right when he said he would.   He (4) quickly diagnosed the problem as there being no air in the pressure tank.  (I had suspected that but didn't know how to verify or (with my very old tank) how to correct it.)  He quickly moved to the solution of simply using a compressor to recharge the tank using a nipple on the tank that he pointed out.   He trained me how to do it myself next time.
It was all done quickly and professionally.  Kudos to Joe.  He has a new regular customer.

"I received service in January 2021 for a problem I was having with my hot water heating system. Problems were solved after replacing some components and I was not happy with the overall outcome of the way the repairs went. I paid for the service and everything was working but I felt like I had been given a wrong diagnosis based on details I will not get into. As a result, I gave an unfavorable rating grade. Recently I was contacted by one of the owners to discuss my experience. Ray and I had a long conversation and came to a reconsideration of the bill I paid. Ray has always been extremely pleasant to converse with and at the conclusion offered to refund the complete charges for the services in question. I never felt like I was taken advantage of, but was not comfortable with the process of the diagnosis and the resulting charges. I was left wondering whether other options, or tests should have been considered but I did not want to seem like I was questioning the technician opinions or skills. I new his skills were on an expert level but that does not necessarily mean that an error could not occur. At any rate I am going to try to remove my original rating and wholeheartedly give 5 stars across the board for Polar heating and plumbing. The fact that I was contacted to discuss my concerns and given a refund when I was not even anticipating this is a testament in itself that they are truly concerned with their customers opinions and ultimately the outcome and status of their work. I will continue to consider them with any needs I have in the future and am removing my earlier rating for them. Businesses that go to this level of customer care are, in my opinion, few and far between. Thanks Ray and all your staff for making me feel much better about the experience I had. I look forward to working with you in the future and I will highly recommend your business to anyone I can."

"Aleks Velkovski impressed me when he first came to give an estimate for the job.  Other contractors were happy to tell me that they would put in quality toilets and vanities and their price, but I never really understood what I'd be getting or paying for. (A couple of them gave me nothing in writing, just a quote over the phone!).  My wife, Anita, and I wanted a more active role in what our bathroom would look like. 
       When asked, Aleks was happy to give us an estimate that itemized all of the demolition, removal and installations that he would do.  This was followed by a concise list of what we would supply for him with price ranges for each item.  This included not only sink and tub, but how many square feet of tile (with price ranges) we'd need for both the floor and shower as well as faucets, towel bars, light fixtures, paint, etc.  With this list, we could see just how much the bathroom would cost, and could decide where to save money and where we should spend a little extra.      
       The work took 5 very busy days to complete.  Aleks was always there on time and protected my stairs and hall carpet with drop-cloths.  At the end of the day, he was careful to leave everything clean and organized.  
        The work was not without its challenges (the subfloor was full of mold and had to be replaced and  none of the walls were quite square ...), but Aleks clearly had my satisfaction as his highest priority, keeping me informed and asking for my feedback regularly.  Moving the toilet was never in the original agreement, but with the floor torn up and the joists going the right way, Aleks told me that it was a possibility.  Although it wasn't easy, his moving that toilet over 6 inches fixed the major spacing problem that dominated that bath from the day it was made.  
        Aleks did not charge us for the additional labors involved in tearing up the rotted floor and moving the toilet, the only additional charge was for the extra materials he purchased to do them.  Aleks is very detail oriented and pays close attention to every facet of the job.  The finished room looks great, and my wife and I could not be happier."

"Initially, Angelo Ruggiero  provided a thorough estimate for the replacement of my kitchen tile floor. He was very busy and his schedule didn't work with mine so I had to chose another company. I was so impressed with Angelo's knowledge and professionalism, that I contacted him when I needed a carpenter to install new kitchen floor molding. Rather than incur a greater cost for new kitchen floor molding, Angelo recommended that the existing molding be sanded, re-stained, and reattached. He also reattached a  saddle to the floor. Since he has carpentry skills, I also asked him to build a longer laundry room shelf and paint it too. I would certainly recommend Radical Rennovations since Angelo was very professional, hardworking and honest when providing estimates and performing the work.
