"We had are gravel driveway re-graded with additional gravel, along with re-doing our Belgium block apron. We requested several proposals and found ADR PRO BUILDERS LANDSCAPING's to be the most responsive and flexible. We worked with Eligio who was knowledgeable and responsive to what we were looking to accomplish. He met with us on a Saturday and had a proposal within a few days. His proposal was also very reasonable from a pricing perspective. He started the work on the date he promised and completed his work on a time. He had a sizable crew. I also found it refreshing not to have a long contract loaded with legalize and escape clauses for any responsibility and attaching risks to us related for non payment. ADR had a very straight forward payment requirement. Bottom line we would strongly recommend ADR, and have already done so."

"We needed to fix our property after we hired the wrong company to do our initial work to our home. Elite was recommended to us and we knew right from the start that victor was going to straighten all the issues we were left with after terminating our first contractor. I was hesitant at first, but this company proved to me there are still honest, hardworking, experienced contractors left out there. We had a mess but not any more thanks to Victor. 10 out of 10 Lois M"

"The Finest Craftsman crew is fantastic. Their work on our home was exceptional. They made my wife and I feel continually cared-for while providing us with clear information and communication about the jobs they did for us. This experience was nothing less than A+++. Jonathan and Jerson are remarkable people to work with - trustworthy, responsive, thorough and fair. They and their crew, including Carlos and Manuel, inspire confidence and hold themselves to a standard that is continually professional. Their workmanship is superb and they didn't leave a trace when they finished the job. We originally hired Finest Craftsman to do a full exterior paint job which included a lot of trim and window sill replacement. As a kind of after-thought we asked them to price what we thought was a small job on our porch - rebuilding some crumbling concrete and replacing missing bluestone. I was impressed by Jonathan and Jerson from our first appointment for them to survey the house and make their estimate. They both came to the estimate with a third guy in tow. This in itself struck me as unique- other contractors sent one guy and the one guy was there for 15-20 minutes tops. Jonathan and Jerson and their partner spent over an hour combing thoroughly over my entire house. This was also unique. I felt like I was getting their full attention. They asked me about things I wasn't even aware of - small places where there was rot or weakness. They were exceptionally thorough and caring about my home- as if it were their own. Jonathan and Jerson are both very personable - funny, warm and easy to get along with. Jonathan makes it clear in both his words and actions that while he wants to do the job 'right'. He has very high expectations and standards for his crew and his product. This was always true in our experience. In fact, after the first phase of the paint job- where a worker had come to pressure wash the house - Jonathan was very upset about the mess that the worker had left. While it wasn't messy in a way that my wife and I really noticed- we certainly could see that a lot of chipped paint and dirt had been left around the back patio, driveway and surrounding yard. Jonathan and Jerson came THEMSELVES the following day and cleaned the entire area around the house with the pressure washer. Jonathan apologized for the mess the worker left behind. It would have been fine with me, honestly, but the high standards around even this kind of thing made me feel very taken care of. When it was over, the paint job they completed was exceptional and the woodwork on the trim and sills they've done is a huge improvement to the sharp, clean lines of the house. Jonathan was in near-constant contact with me throughout this painting process. We developed a very comfortable texting conversation as well as phone calls almost daily. Plus- Jonathan or Jason (or frequently both) were at our home on the job the entire time. They were personally overseeing every step. Further, whenever ANYTHING required my input or they thought I should be made of aware of a set of choices they had regarding how to move forward... they immediately included me in the conversation. With regard to our porch rebuild - what we thought was going to be a simple repair turned out to be a much more involved project. We have a very old home - built in 1919 - and when the Finest Craftsman crew began to excavate our porch they found deterioration from salt and moisture plus a gap between the concrete pad and the 'top layer' of the porch. Jonathan and Jerson laid out for my wife and I in an extremely clear way the different options we had in order to deal with this. At no point did we feel pressured- only very informed and securely guided by their expertise. Jonathan and Jerson always made it clear what they thought the right way to go about a plan was... but there was never pressure around going in a more expensive direction. This made the entire project feel very organic and it made my wife and I feel that we were really making informed decisions about the repair and rebuild. As the job went along I felt that I could really trust these gentlemen not only to do the job sufficiently but that they were also looking for possibilities to improve and capitalize on the opportunity of home improvement. An instance of this was when we were considering replacing all the columns on our porch. My wife and I had no intention of doing this initially but Jerson suggested that the columns were not only out-of-date in terms of architectural style but were also rotting in places. He suggested we consider composite columns in a more up-to-date style. His point was also that these new columns would never rot or deteriorate. Jerson was absolutely right about this. I am so glad he suggested it and was able to sketch for us in clear detail what they would look like and how they would improve the front of our house. Since completion of these jobs my wife and I feel that we have a solid home improvement partner in Finest Craftsmen. We have already booked them to add a storm door to our main entrance and are looking to book them in the spring for some a possible siding/insulation job. I cannot say enough positive stuff about these guys and how good it was to work with them."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

The time it takes to build a pool—and dig out the area—varies based on the pool size and type. A professional excavator will take between four and eight hours to dig a pool. The process will take longer if they encounter large boulders or tree roots. Keep in mind that this is a small part of the process in the long run. You will need between eight and 12 weeks to build a pool from start to finish, including the time to apply for permits.

Yes, chipmunk holes may have two or more entrances. Chipmunks can create an entire network of burrows. Having multiple entrances makes it easier for them when trying to escape from a predator, such as a snake, or if an entrance collapses due to flooding. Each entrance leads to the nesting chamber underground, which is where the chipmunk spends the majority of its time sleeping.

The cost to drill a well varies, with a national average of around $5,500 for a 150-foot well. However, prices can fluctuate significantly based on several factors, including your location, the required well depth, geological conditions, local regulations, and the specific drilling methods used. For the most accurate cost assessment, it is best to research and get quotes from local well-drilling professionals in your area.

The best method for digging a trench depends on the scope of the project. For a short, shallow trench (less than 2 feet deep) in light, soft soil, digging by hand may be sufficient. However, digging by hand is labor-intensive, so consider the effort required. A machine trencher is the better option for longer trenches (over 100 feet), deeper ones, or when dealing with difficult soil conditions, such as rocky or hard ground, or obstructions like tree roots. A machine can save significant time and energy in these situations.

No, a ditch isn’t a trench. A ditch is an open, relatively shallow channel that’s carved out of the ground and used for drainage purposes. In contrast, a trench is a deeper excavation that’s entirely underground. Trenches have many uses, including gas lines, sewage systems, and electrical wiring. Unlike trenches, ditches don’t get filled back in with dirt after they’re dug.
