"RJR understood the project and what we were looking to accomplish. Rosalio did a thorough walk through with me. He knew the situation we were in with the Spotted Lantern Flies that were feeding on the Athlantus trees in our yard. He made great suggestions from an arborist perspective and worked out a fair estimate for all the different aspects of the job. RJR and crew went right to work immediately and didnâ t stop. They work fast and are completely careful and respectful of the property. The clean up was like nothing took place that day. Every scrap of wood, leaves and branches were removed. I highly recommend RJR for projects that need a specific consideration."

"They job couldn't have gone off any better.
Ralph was our initial contact, and not only got EVERY bit of detail we gave him -- nothing was missed when they did the project, nothing -- but he took our vaguely formed project idea and made several recommendations, all of which we agreed to, and all of which ended up being 100% the right way to go.
The work was priced fairly (not the cheapest guys out there, but fairly priced).
The work was scheduled right away.
The work was done quickly -- it maybe took a week.
The work was done perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. Usually with jobs that are this big, there's always these little nit-picky things that you see after all is said and done that aren't HUGE problems, but they're there, and they annoy you every time you see it for the next 25 years. There was literally not a single thing wrong with the end result. Fabulous. Fabulous.
Neighbors keep coming by to say how great everything looks.
We also hired Palmieri to do weekly yard maintenance (the usual: mow, trim, etc.). And I would say the same for those services -- job is always well done.
I'd use Palmieri again. Easily. And would recommend them to my friends."

"I had a very good experience working with Pat - he was communicative, worked with me to find solutions for our project, and completed the work efficiently. I feel good to finally find an electrician I can depend on and I will be using him in the future and recommending him to others."

"But for these guys we'd have cut down both of our backyard trees. Instead, they've undertaken to try to save them, which is worth more than money. They began work almost immediately after I engaged them; they always arrived within the promised window of time; they cleaned up meticulously; they were friendly and easy to work with. Very high recommendation!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Finding a reliable arborist starts with researching specialists in your area and checking their licensing and certifications. Use online resources like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to conduct research on each company. Next, contact the arborist and ask the following questions to see whether they are the right fit for your project:

  • Do you handle or specialize in dealing with the issue I’m having?

  • Are you fully insured?

  • Do you have customer references I can call?

  • Do you have any third-party certifications?

  • What equipment and strategies do you plan to use?

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

Generally, avoid trimming trees in the summer (with the exception of pruning fruit trees as needed). Trees use a lot of energy in the summer, most of which is relegated to new growth. If you chop it too early, you could stunt the next season's growth. Again, when in doubt, do some research based on the specific tree type.

The shepherd’s tree, native to the Kalahari Desert in Africa, holds the record for the deepest known tree roots at over 230 feet deep. Some African communities refer to it as the “Tree of Life” since it provides food, shade, and medicinal properties to the surrounding community.

No, you should never top maple trees. Topping injures the tree and leads to the rapid growth of a weak canopy, which can be hazardous to rooftops and utility lines. Removing the crown can also leave the interior bark vulnerable to sun damage, leading to insects and disease. A topped tree can also reduce property value and permanently damage the appearance of a tree.
