Emerald Tree & Shrub Care

This is the third time that I've used Emerald. The first time was in 2014 and again last year. This year we had two trees that had severe storm damage and had to be removed. We also had overgrown trees pruned back from the house. All the debris was taken care of. They showed up on the appointed date and time. Competive prices. Final bill matched estimate. Great job well done.

We use their services for plant health care and tick & mosquito control. Our yard is sprayed monthly and is free of damaging insects & diseases. Upon request, a botanist will assess your yard to determine the appropriate method of treatment and care to be used. We are extremely pleased with Emerald Tree’s dedication, support and services. The services are personalized according to the needs of your plants and trees. Our plants, flowers and trees are happy and beautiful due to Emerald’s health care regiment.

Excellent. the back to back Nor'easters pummeled Westchester and all the tree services were backed up....Bill Demarest's team got to us quickly, assessed the risks of our partially downed tree and planned the work accordingly. they did a great job, neat, professional, took a lot of care in protecting the surrounding areas as they took down a very big sugar maple and removed a huge branch from that tree that fell in my side yard. They are great!

On May 3rd I made an appointment for the owner of Emerald Tree Service, Steve Farrelli, to come to my house on May 4 at 11 am to give me an estimate for tree work. At 11:15 when he did not arrive, I called his secretary who confirmed that I did have an 11 am appointment. She attempted to contact him without success. She called me back as promised and said she would continue to try and reach him and would be in contact with me. This went on from 11:15 to 12pm at which point I gave her my cell number and requested that he call me when they contacted her. I never did receive the courtesy of a phone call on May 3 from Mr. Farrelli.. On May 4 Mr. Farrelli called and left a message that he was in the area and that he could come by before 12:30. He left no explanation as to why he never showed up or call me on the day of the appointment. Apparently his needs and priorities come before potential customers' to the extent that he couldn't find a moment to contact me. What difference does it make how good his work might be when he doesn't show up for a scheduled appointment? I understand that delays happen and appointments need to be rescheduled. But it is unconscionable for him not to have the common decency to call me.

I had Emerald Tree Care come to one of my properties to take a look at several trees that appeared to be sick. I thought cutting down the trees would be my only option, even though I didn?t want to. Steve, the owner of Emerald Tree Care, said he could revive them. He and his crew listened to my concerns, then developed and implemented a comprehensive tree care plan that included fertilization and pruning. The results were nothing short of amazing! The trees literally came back to life, and my property looks great again. I can?t say thanks enough!

Emerald Tree was able to perform work on relatively short notice, gave good advice and really did more than was expected. The only item they couldn't complete was to grind one of the old stumps out because of the grade of the hill but everything else was completed. They are very efficient and professional. They arrived on time with a team of five people and worked the whole day. I found everyone I talked to was friendly and courteous. Best of all they were significantly cheaper than quotes I had received from some other services (eg Bartlett). I would highly recommend Emerald.

I received estimates from three different tree services for the removal of a dead Tulip Tree that didn't make it through the winter and an Elm that had dutch elm disease.   By far the most knowledgeable and most reasonable was Emerald Tree Service.  They do it by the book and we needed to get permits for removal of the dead tress, as is the code for my town.  However, they contacted the town for us and the town sent the permits to my attention.   It took 5 weeks before the job was able to be done due to scheduling and vacations, but it was worth it.   The crew arrived in clean trucks with all the proper equipment, they worked in an efficient and professional manner.   Safety was definitely important to them.  They ground down the stump  for the Tulip and I hardly know there was a 5 story high tree there once.

They were pretty good. They did everything I asked them to do and they were reasonably priced compared to other guys who were outrageous. He was friendly. He arrived on time. They cleaned everything and were not difficult to work with. They did what they said they were going to do and did it for the price quoted. I would use them again in the future.

They were very good!  It took them awhile to come to my house but once they got here they did a wonderful job!

Overall, they did a good job, they were on time, courteous and a pleasure to work with.  Out of 5-6 different tree companies that I had give me bids for the work, they were the best in terms of price.  I would recommend them.

I have definitely seen a difference in the fruit bearing of my trees since they starting servicing them.

All in all they did a very professional job, were on time, and did not charge more than the estimate. I would definitely hire them in the future.

IN GENERAL THEY HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN WE CALL. ONCE OR TWICE THEY HAVEN'T FOLLOWED THROUGH ON THE WORK, AND WE'VE HAD TO CALL THEM BACK TO DO IT. THEIR GENERAL OVERALL WORK IS GOOD.
