"LOVO promptly responded to my home to evaluate when my alarm system could be repaired at no cost. When we decided to replace the panel and keypad, we received a price quote within a day. We were given a tentative installation appointment pending receipt of our deposit and the two men reported at the appointed time. They worked diligently to retrofit the new panel and keypad to our existing wiring/motion detectors etc. When issues arose, they clearly communicated our options and proceeded accordingly. The men were extremely patient and did a fine job. We promptly received an invoice for the agreed upon price and a detailed email with all essential information regarding our system and the monitoring company."

"Asked Damon to replace an old high end house wide CD based music system. We have good speakers already in the ceilings of many rooms. He replaced the amplifiers with Sonos amplifiers. Now we stream music to any combination of rooms from any streaming service we choose. Also upgrade the "women cave" with a new 65" tv, and receiver. His electrician did the necessary wiring. I would think twice about using his recommended universal remotes.: expensive and older technology...but does simplify and reduce the # of remotes. Overall, good company to work with."

"Melvyn was great. He was responsive when I bought the deal and emailed right away. He also replied just as quickly when I had a question. He showed up on time and was personable. I already talked to him about some other work to be done in my home. I would most definitely recommend him.

"I originally hired Navas AV to fix our home theater system. While they were here we asked if they could help with a few other things we needed to get done and they said sure! They spent most of the day here, fixing the theater system, installing our nest thermostats and doorbell, and a smart garage system. The garage system was tricky and I ended up asking if they could come back the next week to fix an issue. They promptly came back (for no charge). All the work they did was excellent and I plan to use them for other projects in the future! Highly recommend."

Stereo and Home Theater Systems questions, answered by experts

An accredited, licensed smart home specialist should install your home automation system. For example, a qualified smart home specialist will belong to an organization like the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association. Licenses for qualified technicians require the technician to demonstrate experience and pass state testing. If you’re ready to install a home automation system, consult multiple technicians in your area to compare services and prices and find the best fit for your job.

You can stream HDR video content from most major streaming services, including Amazon, Google Play, Itunes, Netflix, and Vudu with a 4K TV. You can also use this content in various forms, such as 4K Blu-ray players, cameras, and smartphones.

In addition, 4K content is gamer-friendly. You can use major gaming platforms such as the PS5 and Xbox to stream 4K gaming.

Professional installation for a surround sound system offers several benefits. Experts ensure proper speaker placement and system calibration to optimize sound quality and create an immersive audio experience. They can eliminate sound delays and improve the system's performance by adapting it to your room's specific acoustics. Additionally, professionals can provide a seamless setup by integrating the system with your existing technology and home automation, all while preventing visible wiring clutter.

The room itself, if properly finished, should last the lifetime of the house. But it’s the equipment inside that you’ll need to consider. Generally, take a look at your home theater every four to five years and see if everything is still up to date. If any significant new technologies, formats, or compatibility options have come out since then, think about if it’s worth an upgrade.

The standard home theater screen size is 100 inches to 120 inches for a full home theater room, but the ideal size TV to buy depends on a few factors. For example, a screen that’s less than 120 inches may be better in a room with less space and where seating is positioned more closely to the screen. If your seating is close to the screen, a smaller screen is better, in the 60- to 70-inch range. This is common for smaller basement conversions to home theater rooms.
